Plot: 1964 - Gerald (Brendan Fraser) swears in anger, catching his breath. In the dark of the night, his face is lightened by a fire. A serial arsonist strikes in Montreal and Gerald arrived too late, once again. He tears the police tape down and kicks down the barriers down. His superior, Ben McRae (Jesse Bradford), the first respondent to the scene orders him to calm down. Gerald says he can’t take it anymore, he was this close to catch him in the act. Ben says he arrived before him and he didn’t see anything, so Gerald wasn’t that close. Gerald keeps cursing and Ben notes that he will need to confess next Sunday. Ben senses Gerald’s anger and he takes him aside for a few moments. As the fire keeps burning behind them, Ben tells something to Gerald.
Quick cut to Gerald, at home, throwing his glass across the room. His wife, Mary (Cara Buono), cleaning the dishes, begs him to keep it down so he won’t wake up the kids. She orders him to apologize to the Holy Father and he does, reluctantly. He says he can’t believe Ben is forcing him to take a week off. He’s certain Ben is forcing him off the case, he may be involved. He was the first respondent for seven of the ten last fires. Mary says Ben is a good man and Gerald is making this all up and it’s bad for him to resent anger. She orders him again to stop cursing, to no avail. She gets a little closer to him and whispers in his ears that they could use this time to take a little vacation. Gerald agrees that they could bring the whole family camping to Old Orchard Beach in the United States and Mary agrees. Their daughter, Sarah (Odeya Rush) surprises them kissing and Mary apologizes for the indecency.
The following day, Gerald asks Mary to pack his bag early in the morning and leaves to get their camping trailer from the camping site outside the city. Gerald drives his 1964 Pontiac Bonneville around Montreal and stops in a department store to buy a newspaper and cigarettes. He can hear Mary urging him to quit smoking, but he’s so stressed with the job that he can’t get himself to quit. He drives around town for a while and leaves the city.
Mary is struggling to retain control over her kitchen, with her three children, Charles (Logan Lerman), Sarah and Marco (Owen Vaccaro) all talking over each other next to their grandfather Horace (M. Emmett Walsh). As she serves the plates, she notices a mysterious man wandering near their house. She brushes it off and serves her family. She announces to the family that Gerald left town to get their camping trailer, they are going to Old Orchard. They are all excited to go and Horace says he’s not sure he’ll like it there. Marco makes a rude comment towards her grandfather and Mary threatens to wash his mouth with soap if he does it again.
During the day, Sarah tries some swimsuits on for her big trip and Mary catches her with she believes to be an outrageous swimsuit. She says they’re going to Old Orchard, not a whorehouse, God forbid. Charles, who was watching, says he doesn’t mind it and Sarah chases him through the house. Marco is playing checkers with Horace who forgot about the incident this morning and forgot his grandson. She orders Sarah to only bring one piece swimsuits and no shorts and it’s an order. She asks God to give her the strength to keep this house in order.
When Gerald comes back with the camping trailer, he sets shop outside with his cigarettes and beers and starts to clean the mess. The mysterious man from earlier comes up to him and introduces himself as Victor (Michael Mando). He tells Gerald he has some information about the arsons and he sets up a meeting with him tonight at midnight at the top of Mount Royal. Gerald finds it quite odd, but he accepts the deal after Victor says it may be involving Ben McRae. When Mary asks Gerald something by the window, Victor runs away. She asks him who he was talking to, but he says it was someone asking for directions. She asks him to come inside, they’re about to eat dinner. Gerald comes back inside and says the prayer before they eat. He reminds them that they are leaving tonight at eleven so they can spend the day at the beach tomorrow.
By 11 pm, Gerald is in his car and driving up the Mount Royal. He arrives shortly before midnight at the top, where he sees a parked van. He looks behind and sees his family, his father, with Marco asleep on his lap and his two other kids sleeping. Mary is asleep too. At midnight sharp, he sees Victor coming out of the van. Gerald rolls down his window and Victor checks inside the vehicle. He runs back to the van and then the screen turns to a bright white.
2019 - Gerald wakes up suddenly. His eyes struggle to adapt to the sun. It’s the early morning now. His family is still asleep, nobody moved. In his car, everything is the same, but in outside, everything changed. The van isn’t there and some threes are gone. He starts the engine again and he can’t seem to tune in a radio station. He drives down the Mount Royal and as he heads downtown, he sees that the city has changed and not just the city. Cars and people, nothing is the same. People stare at his car and camping trailer like they were from another world. He can’t seem to understand what people are looking at while they’re walking. Some people have it close to their heads, others in their hands and the rest bury them in their pockets. He drives through the same street he did a couple of hours earlier, but it has changed tremendously. He pulls over and park at the same convenience store. He thanks God that it hasn’t changed. He gets inside and gets a weird look from the customers and the cashier due to his retro outfit and fedora. He asks for a pack of cigarettes and the cashier tells him they don’t sell these. He swears and looks back in his car, his family is slowly waking up. He looks down at the newspaper and is amazed to see they are printed in color. The cashier asks him if he’s alright and he takes a good look at the date on the newspaper. He asks her, while starring at her piercings in disgust if they’re really in 2019 and she says yes as Gerald looks at Mary, panicking in the car and also looking at him.

Plot: 2019 – After he found out he was transported in 2019, Gerald (Brendan Fraser) ran back to the car, confusing the cashier even more. Mary (Cara Buono) is literally screaming. He tells her to keep quiet, or else she’ll wake the kids. She lowers her voice and squeezes her rosary, praying. She asks him where they are and he says they’re in Montreal, but in 2019. Charles (Logan Lerman) woke up and he asks if they’re really in 2019. Gerald doesn’t see the advantage of lying to his children and he says he is. Charles just has to take a look outside and look at the girls’ outfit to see they aren’t in the sixties anymore. It woke up everyone in the car Gerald orders everyone to stay calm, he’s going to find a solution. The panic sets in as the opening credits start rolling.
Gerald started the car and is now driving in downtown Montreal. The whole family is on panic mode, but old Horace (M. Emmet Walsh) is still asleep. Mary points out they don’t have any money on them and Gerald says he has a plan. Sarah (Odeya Rush) gets upset as her father keeps saying he has plans, but he doesn’t share them. Mary, Charles and Marco (Owen Vaccaro) agree. Mary asks her husband why are they in 2019 and he lies to them, saying he doesn’t know. Gerald orders everyone to stay silent about all of this, out of fear of being labelled as mentally crazy and internalized. His family agrees, they don’t question the man of the house’s authority. Mary suggests to go seek Gerald’s brother’s Theo’s help, he would surely understand. Gerald agrees and heads for his brother’s house.
Gerald respects all the confusing signalization as they are amazed by all the new technology. Their car and trailer is enough for everyone to turn their heads, and they don’t like the attention. They are suddenly pulled over by a cop. Mary asks Gerald if he did everything right and he says he did. She knocks on the window, her name: Gina McRae (Krysten Ritter). Gerald isn’t sure he heard it right and he asks her to repeat, her name is Gina McRae. She gives them a long stare and he asks for his licence and registration. He innocently says that he’s a police officer too, but Gina doesn’t believe it and he doesn’t have his badge on him. She said it’s illegal to not be buckled and to be six in a five-seat car. He shows her his driver’s licence, long expired and with his date of birth, making him close to one hundred years old. She quickly glances at the name and it rings a bell, but she doesn’t remember who it is. She gives it back to him and heads back to her car. Gerald looks at the traffic light in front of him. As soon as it turns red, he hits the throttle and tries to get away from the police car. Gina doesn’t risk it, thinking that retracing a 1964 Pontiac Bonneville with a vintage camping trailer won’t be that hard. She keeps thinking abut Gerald though… she saw him somewhere. In the car though… Mary is praying to stay alive and the children are excited to see their father break the law, while Horace is still asleep and before he knows it, he’s out of town.
In an old abandoned building in the middle of nowhere, a man is seen wearing a long black robe with a mysterious logo on it. His white flock of hair blowing in the wind. He’s standing up straight next a fire in a barrel. Victor (Michael Mando) comes and refers to the man as Chartwell (Clancy Brown). He tells Chartwell that Gerald is out of the picture. Chartwell turns back and looks at old newspaper articles about the fires Gerald was investigating. He grabs Victor by the head and kisses it, saying he has done a great job, but now he must do something else. He gives him an old black-and-white picture of a girl and he says he must bring her back too and it’s really important. Victor looks at the picture and he says he will do it.
We cut back to Charles in the car looking at the same picture. Sarah wonders what his girlfriend must look like now. Charles reminds her that she isn’t his girlfriend, but it doesn’t matter now. He places it back in his pocket and focuses on his parents. Mary is kissing Gerald good luck as he’s about to knock on his brother’s door. Gerald knocks on the door and a young woman answers. She stares at Gerald attentively and she mistakes him for a Jehovah witness. She’s about to close the door, but Charles comes to the rescue and blocks the door. Gerald says he’s looking for his brother Theo. The woman says Theo is dead now and they bought the house from him. She says he left a box in the house and they’ve been keeping it. She gives them the box. Charles searches through it and finds a note written for his mother Mary. He buries it in his pocket before his father sees it. Gerald thanks her and puts the box in the trailer. He says they will now head for their old house to get the T-bills he hid in the walls.
Gina McRae comes back to her home after she received a text message from her father’s Life Alert device. Ben McRae (Donald Sutherland) is confined to a wheelchair. She asks him what happened, and he said he just wanted to see her. She reminds him that although she loves him very much he can’t keep hitting his Life Alert button just to see her, she needs to be at work during the day. She turns the television on switches it to his afternoon soap opera. She tells him about her encounter with a man named Gerald something he pretended to be a cop today and he just ran off. Ben remembers Gerald and he tells her the story of his old detective Gerald disappearing. She asks if he has any pictures of Gerald and he says he may have some, but he has to stop talking now, he’s out of breath.
Gerald and Charles are staking out their old home and notice the new owners aren’t home. Charles asks what they’ll do and Gerald says he has an idea. He breaks a window and they break into the house. He heads over to the living room wall and he uses the table as a battering ram to get the T-bills out of the walls. Mary, in the car, honks to signal them to get out, the owners are here. They surprise Gerald and Charles and Gerald pushes them to the ground before leaving in a hurry. They now have their savings and a box full of Theo’s old things, but they don’t know what to do. Mary asks what they’ll do and Gerald says they’re going camping. Horace wakes up in the back and he asks if they’re in Old Orchard Beach yet, only to realise they just left the house and he falls asleep again.

Plot : Gina McRae (Krysten Ritter) is looking in her father’s stuff to try and find a picture of his former detective who disappeared years ago. She’s reminded how good a cop her father was and all the praise he received over the years thanks to the many newspaper article her late mother framed. She finds an old box with “Gerald” labeled on it. She opens it and it contains loads of information regarding the mysterious disappearance of a family after the patriarch, a detective, was suspected of being a serial arson. She takes a look at a picture of Gerald (Brendan Fraser) and is at a loss of words. She saw him earlier today.
Gerald, Mary (Cara Buono), Charles (Logan Lerman), Sarah (Odeya Rush), Marco (Owen Vaccaro) and Horace (M. Emmet Walsh) are all stacked up in the car after Gerald and his oldest son were able to recover their old T-bills that could give them enough money to survive for a while. Gerald signals left and stops in front of a camping gate. Even thought the clerk gives them a weird look, she accepts Gerald’s request and they can settle down here. He asks to pay at checkout and he doesn’t know how long they’ll be there and she says it’s alright, all their members are permanently stationed anyway.
Gerald pins the trailer down and all the family exits the car. Horace finally notices that they aren’t in Maine and he’s pissed. He locks himself in the trailer’s bathroom in protest. Mary is hard at work to organize everything and makes sure to keep her children close. Gerald sets everything outside and he’s surprised to be visited by his camping neighbour, Jack (Donal Logue). Jack comments on Gerald’s car, saying it’s nice and that his father used to own one. Gerald, unsure how to react, thanks him for the compliment awkwardly. Jack says he likes Gerald’s hipster look and once again Gerald, confused, thanks him. He invites them over to his trailer so they can eat together to get to know each other and besides, it’s late and they made extra food, just in case. Gerald excuses himself and goes inside to talk about it with Mary. They agree that it would only seem weird if they don’t go and he goes outside to accept Jack’s invitation. Mary gathers her children and invites them over to Jack’s trailer, but Charles refuses to go. When everybody is gone, he opens the envelope addressed to mother he found in his uncle’s belongings and he reads it. He learns in that letter that Gerald isn’t his father and that Mary cheated on Gerald with his brother when Gerald was in the police academy. Charles looks at his “father” through the sole window of the trailer and his eyes tear up. He keeps the letter and he runs away, unnoticed.
Jack introduces Gerald’s family to his. He’s here with his girlfriend, Rita (Yaya DaCosta) and their son Judas (Keith L. Williams). Mary can’t help herself and she kisses her cross when she hears the name of the Biblical traitor. Jack takes Gerald aside and he says he doesn’t care about all that visiting and he just wants to chill with a man. He takes Gerald outside and gives him a beer as they sit around the campfire. Inside the trailer, Rita gives a little tour to Mary and Sarah as Marco is playing with Judas. Marco suggests they go outside to play cops and robbers (his favorite game), but Judas finds it stupid. He then asks Marco if he likes to play battle royale games and Marco is confused as to what it means. Judas can’t believe Marco doesn’t know what it means, and he introduces to the immersive world of video games. Marco is fascinated and flabbergasted. Mary and Sarah are in the kitchen with Rita. They are confused when they look in the microwave and she jokingly asks Rita what they’re hiding in this safe in the middle of the kitchen. Rita says it’s a microwave and Mary fakes knowing what it is so she doesn’t embarrass herself. Mary looks at the flat screen television and she asks what this black box is for and Rita laughs and says it’s just their television. Rita asks Sarah to follow her and she does, leaving Mary alone in the kitchen. She decides to find out what a “microwave” is. Rita entered her bedroom with Sarah and she tells her in confidence that she wants to show her how to dress accordingly when she’ll leave her parents’ house and stop being a Jehovah’s witness. Sarah is angry that Rita thinks they are Jehovah witnesses and Rita says she won’t have a boyfriend if she keeps dressing like that. Sarah leaves the room and they surprise Mary who leaves the microwave alone. Rita says it’s time to eat.
Chartwell (Clancy Brown) welcomes back Victor (Michael Mando) by opening his car door. They go in the trunk together and there’s a young woman (Jodelle Ferland) in there. Chartwell asks if this is Judy and Victor says it is. They take her back inside the church-like building they are living in and they tie her up. He tells Victor that it’s now time for the second chapter as he marks Judy with the same logo he has on his vest. Victor leaves the building as Judy’s scream resonates.
The diner is a bit awkward between the two families and Mary asks Jack why they didn’t do a prayer before eating. Jack says it’s because he doesn’t believe in God and Mary is shocked to find that out. Horace, who joined them, says that only fools and Satanists don’t believe in God. Mary inquires as to how they met, since Rita seems much younger than him and he says that he waited for her to turn 18 to put a baby in her. They were so in love. Jack says they are so uptight, he has a little something to make everyone relax. He takes out a bong and a stash of legal weed and starts to smoke. He offers some to Gerald, who after Jack’s insistence, takes a whiff. Mary says the teachings of God prohibits the use of drugs and she won’t tolerate that amongst her families. They take their plates and she escorts them back to their trailer and she locks the door, to the surprise of Jack, Rita and Judas.
Charles is walking in downtown Montreal after leaving the family’s trailer. He needed some fresh air after learning that Gerald isn’t his father. He’s approached by a mysterious looking man, Victor. He tells Charles that he knows he doesn’t belong in 2019 and he could help them go back to 1964 like nothing happened. He asks Charles to come with his father at the top of Mount Royal tomorrow night and he’ll help him. Victor tells him to go back with his family. You only have one and you can’t choose it, but it’s important for him to trust and love them. As Victor leaves, Charles runs away with the intent to tell his Gerald the good news.

Marco (Owen Vaccaro) is trying to set up the computer in his room, but he’s clueless. Mary (Cara Buono) is in a bedroom with Judy (Jodelle Ferland). She asks him if she feels good today as she heals her wounds. Judy says she’s alright and thanks her for doing this, she really doesn’t have to. Mary says she can make an effort for her future stepdaughter, winking at Judy, who was starring at Charles out of the window. Horace (M. Emmet Walsh) complains that it is too hot in the house and they should open all the windows. Marco, tired of hearing his grandfather complain decides to turn on the air conditioner. They look on, scared of what this machine might do and are relieved when they find out that it only shoots cool air. Horace congratulates him on being the tech wizard, he always knew he was the brain in the family. He wonders where he got it, his father has never been smart and his mother is a religion-obsessed woman who slept with his brother-in-law. Mary, who’s out of the room is angry at Horace and she says she doesn’t to talk about it again. Judy is surprised to learnt that Charles isn’t Gerald’s son and she says she never knew Mary was that kind of woman. Mary is angry now and she says the issue is a thing of the past and she doesn’t want to talk about it anymore. Dinner is ready.
At dinner, Gerald asks everyone how they like their new house and everybody says it’s not their old house, but it’ll do just fine, given the circumstances. Gerald asks the family to do the prayer before they eat and he invites their new guest Judy to recite it. Gerald, who’s unsure who Judy is, asks her to tell him a bit about herself. She says she was born in the mid forties and just like them, she travelled through time and found herself in 2019. Gerald wanted to know more about her relationship with Charles, but Charles wants to change the subject before he gets too embarrassed. He asks if anyone learned anything new today and Horace says he likes the air conditioner very much. Marco tells them about a computer and a printing machine, showing them the Google page he printed over at Judas’. Gerald takes the sheet away from him. He asks Charles if he recognizes the man from Chartwell’s place and he says he does. Gerald asks Marco if he can find the address of this gentleman and Horace praises his grandson. They can’t believe how good he is with the computer and they find a list of all the Steven Mondoux in Montreal. They say he did a good job and Gerald asks Charles to come with him. They’ll pay this time-travelling scientist a visit.
After they left, Sarah drags Judy into her room and she says she really needs to talk to someone about it. Judy says she doesn’t really know, she should talk to her mother instead, but Sarah refuses. She’s going to be blunt and she asks Judy to promise not to freak out and she promises she won’t. She tells Judy she’s pregnant and Judy slaps her on the hand mockingly telling her that she’s a rebel because she’s pregnant out of wedlock. Judy says it’s fantastic and she asks her if she knows the father. Sarah says she might and she’ll use the magic machine (computer) to find him!
Gerald and Charles are at their second address in the search of Steven Mondoux. They knock on the door and Steven (Graham Phillips) answers. Gerald had his hands up in the air and it let his gun show. Steven starts to freak out and he asks them if they came to finish the job. Gerald asks him what he’s talking about and he sees mess in the apartment. He points out they have a picture of him, his address and a gun. It all points to a bounty hunter. Gerald asks him if he’s Steven Mondoux, the man who claims he can travel in time. Steven really thinks they are here to kill him and he tries to run away. Charles gets to him and Gerald helps him to bring him back to the car. Steven can’t believe he’s getting kidnapped and Gerald says he hopes he’ll help them.
Judy went in the attic and found an old baby crib. She cleaned it and with the help of a clueless Marco, she brings it down to Sarah’s room. She grabs decoration from the attic and she places them in Sarah’s room. She goes in the computer room to get Sarah to show her. When they come back, Mary is in the room and ask them what the hell is this. Judy can feel she made a mistake.
Ben McRae (Donald Sutherland) is taking a look at the box of stuff he has about Gerald and his family. He reminds himself about how he bad he looked for them. He talks to himself and comments on the newspaper clippings and articles, about the bullshit these were. He couldn’t even think that Gerald would do this. When he saw him the other day, he knew he was involved in something bigger than him, but he should’ve realised it in the 1960’s. That was his first big mistake, not taking the threat seriously. The arson didn’t target people, he targeted something else and he never understood it. The man who came to see him asked him to throw Gerald off the case and he did. He shouldn’t have done it, he should’ve arrested that man… Chartwell was his name he believes. He says that’s what happens and he’s ashamed of it, the low point of his career. Ben looks scared he looks across the room. Victor (Michael Mando) is standing up, telling Ben that he knows too much. Ben realises that the man standing in front of him was alongside Chartwell back in the sixties, but he never knew his name. Victor walks forwards and he says death is his name and he has come to claim him. He knows too much and he must be silenced. Victor chokes Ben out and leaves him dead in his chair, before walking away.

Jodelle Ferland .... Judy

Plot: Steven (Graham Phillips) is still blown away by the fact he has time travellers standing in front of him. He would ask them to prove it, but he has enough proof in his sight to realise that this is not a prank, this is real. Gerald (Brendan Fraser) repeats his question. Can he help them? He asks what’s the date and after Gerald answers, he says he could try something tomorrow night. He believes there will be a breach in time tonight at the top of Mount Royal and he could try to exploit it. Mary (Cara Buono) asks if it is safe and Steven says he has never been able to travel in time, so he doesn’t know. Mary says it’s too risky and Gerald asks her if she’d rather stay here. Marco (Owen Vaccaro) and Sarah (Odeya Rush) say they wouldn’t mind and Gerald ask them if they have lost their minds. They haven’t been here for long and he’s been shot, Charles and Judy have been kidnapped, they scared poor Horace (M. Emmet Walsh) at the hospital, no less, they were briefly friends with an alcoholic and their weird peculiar couple and their son named Judas of all the names and Sarah was sick because of their food. Mary interrupts him, about that, there’s something they have to talk about. He asks if it can wait and she says it’s rather urgent. Mary grabs Sarah by the arm and Gerald follows them into the bedroom.
Sarah reveals to her father that she is pregnant out of wedlock and he starts to scream at her for whoring herself out like that. Back in the kitchen, the remaining family members with Steven sit in silence and listen to Gerald’s rant. Steven says it’s normal now for girls to be pregnant even if they aren’t married and he looks at Judy (Jodelle Ferland) and Charles (Logan Lerman). He asks them when they’ll have a baby, he can feel the tension between them and Horace agrees. Mary also uses the occasion (probably not the best time) to tell Gerald she got herself a job. He tells her she’s supposed to stay at home for the kids and why on Earth would she get herself a job ? She says she was alone with Rita and she couldn’t say no, after she said her family didn’t have a lot of money. He’s mad at her that she is out there spreading rumors about her family and all they are supposed to do is lay low and not talk to anybody. Mary says that it looks like they’re going to be here a while, she might as well enjoy it, because even if he pretends like he’s looking for a way to go back to 1964, they aren’t closer than they were when they first got here. Gerald can’t take it anymore. He storms out of the room and he asks Charles and Steve to come with him. They’ll head out looking for answers.
The car ride with Gerald, Charles and Steven is awkward to say the least. Charles asks his Gerald where are they going, exactly. He answers that he’s looking to get his book back. The father didn’t seem like he wanted them to have that book and he doesn’t trust him, his vibe was a little off, especially after he mentioned Chartwell. Steven is having trouble keeping up with everyone’s name and he asks who Chartwell is. They describe it to him, but it doesn’t ring a bell. Charles describes Victor and Steven has a flashback to the time he tried to travel in time and Victor chased him. He also talked about Gerald, maybe they were predestined to meet each other. They arrive at the church and pull over. Another father opens the door and Charles has the time to see Father Logan (John de Lancie) before he hides behind a wall. They enter in the church and Gerald, still pissed about what happened at home, is out to get his book. Father Logan reminds him that it’s safer if the book stays here, they won’t know what to do with it. Gerald asks him to teach him what to do with him, but it’s no need. Steven, who is looking at the book, recognizes that it’s mathematical equations written in symbols. He would need time to analyse it, he has to go back home. The fathers throw them out and Logan expresses his concern of what might happen to them if they keep the book, but Gerald doesn’t care about it.
Steven is back in his apartment and he’s working on something. He will need some time though… they could be here a while. Gerald says they’ll stay with him in case he tries to bail on them. Steven answers they better like ramen, because that’s all he cooks.
That night, Mary can’t sleep. Her husband didn’t come home and Charles is with him. She starts to cry thinking about their argument tomorrow. She shares her concern with Horace who stayed up to watch television and he’s sure Gerald will come back for them before he tries to leave. Sarah wakes up in her room and looks all around for Judy, who usually sleeps next to her. She looks by the window and sees her talking to someone through a machine (a cellphone). Judy realises Sarah saw her and she drops the cellphone and she mouths that she’s sorry before taking off in the dark of the night.
The following day, Victor (Michael Mando) and Chartwell (Clancy Brown) pull over at Father Logan’s church and get themselves a private meeting with the man. They ask him where the book is and he says he doesn’t have it in his possession. They say they received intel that he had the book with him and after Victor starts to choke him, Logan reveals Gerald’s plan to go back to 1964 at the top of Mount Royal today. Gerald, Charles and Steven left the apartment for the top of Mount Royal, where the father and son duo do their best to keep the people at bay, while Steven places his instruments for the defining moment. Charles asks Gerald when they’ll go back for their family and Gerald says they will come back when the time is right. He asks Steven for a progress report and he says he’ll be getting there soon. He hopes the upcoming thunderstorm will be over quickly, he fears it might interfere with his installations. Charles turns around and he realises that everybody left. He sees a man, Victor, approaching. Chartwell soon follows. There’s lightning now, the thunderstorm will be there any second now. Victor takes a shotgun out of the trunk. Charles and Gerald try to hide and ask Steven if he’ll be ready to leave soon. He asks what about their family and he says he could try now. Victor fires his shotgun and they say they have no time left, it’s now or never. Steven presses a button and at the same time, lightning strikes the machine. The screen turns black and the sound cuts.
