Plot: We open in a dimly-lit room with chairs placed in a circle with a chair in the middle, on a rotating platform. All the chairs are occupied and at the top of the circle is Dr. Stewart (Stephen Merchant). He asks everyone if one of them wishes to come forward and speak, but no one raises wishes to talk. He warns them that he will force someone to come forward if he has too. The shortest man in the room, David Brady (Seth Green) comes forward and says he’ll go. He sits on the rotating chair and he asks Dr. Stewart if it really needs to spin and he says that it forces them to look at everyone while they’re talking. He finds it stupid, but he starts. Stewart asks him what brings him here today and David says he started to drink again.
A couple of hours earlier – The camera focuses on David’s face as we hear the crowd mildly cheering in the background. The darkness of the rooms is submerged by light and he says it’s time to rock and roll. He puts in his raging bunny head on, revealing his mascot costume and comes out of the room running and he slides all the way down to the baseball field on the stairs. It’s time for the fifth-inning traditional mascot wrestling match for the local little league team. David’s opponent, from the visiting team, is his neighbour Jesus Iglesias (Gabriel Iglesias), wearing his popular giant baby costume. The referee is long-time superfan Wilson Devereaux. He orders the staff to ring the bell and David goes at it with Iglesias. They go over their routine one more time while in a headlock. They keep things simple, in large part because of Iglesias’ size and Brady’s inability to lift him. The giant baby tries to outrun the rabbit, but he hits from behind with a folded chair. The rabbit goes under the ring and takes out bottles of ketchup, the sponsor of the day and he douses Iglesias with ketchup. Iglesias is grabbing his chest and screams at David to end this thing, something feels wrong. He covers Iglesias and Devereaux makes the three count while cursing at them for offering a poor performance. Iglesias stays in the ring, grabbing his chest on the ground. It is understood that he’s having a heart attack and the paramedics rush the field to take care of him. David’s costume, now a bright red from all the ketchup scares children and the rabbit runs into hiding.
After the incident, David goes back home to his wife, Jessie (Sarah Polley). Jessie works at home as an over-the-phone psychic and really believes in her powers. Needless to say, their apartment isn’t tidy and cleaning is far from the priority. She notices David’s emotions and she doesn’t ask what’s wrong, she immediately knows Jesus had a heart attack. She thinks it’s a testament to her psychic powers, but David himself hears Jesus’ mother in next door’s apartment telling everyone what happened. Jessie said she felt it today when she woke up, but she couldn’t say it to anyone to diminish the chances of it happening. David has had enough of his wife’s bullshit and heads out. He pulls over at a bar and sets shop at the counter and orders drinks.
Julian Gilmore (Daveed Diggs) is at the same bar philosophizing about the meaning of life and his dislike of sports in general. He openly smokes marijuana and isn’t afraid to do so. He sits next to David, drunk as a skunk, who watches the football game on television. He discusses with the bartender about how important the roles of mascots are in sports. Julian asks David what he likes about sports, for him, it’s just a bunch of egoistical narcissists who get payed way too much for nothing, while society’s true heroes are underpaid. David orders him to shut up so he can enjoy the game. Julian understands that the truth hurts, and he looks down at David’s bag. He notices the rehab pin he has on it. Julian asks him what is his poison and he David points at his beer. He says he nearly killed his friend in mascot wrestling match today and Julian says it sounded nice, but is it bad enough for him to ruin his life once again with alcohol. David picks him up and takes him to Dr. Stewart’s therapy session.
Dr. Stewart thanks David for his speech. He ends the session for today and he thanks everyone for their input, although only David spoke today. David is pouring himself a cup of coffee and eating a donut and Julian comes to see him. He asks him if today made a difference and David says it didn’t really do anything to him, he doesn’t believe in the power of therapy. He leaves Julian when he sees a familiar face in the crowd. He reaches over to Sarah Bernard (Alicia Silverstone), his boss. Before he asks, she stays she isn’t here for an addiction and she liked her speech. He asks her what she’s here for and tells him he should come to work tomorrow to find out.
The next day, David notices there are more cars in the parking lot and their office is full of mascots hopefuls. Their profile is saddening, all of them look desperate and dirty. He starts to realise that it is also what he looks and feels like. Sarah comes over to him and says that she got so many degenerates to sign up at the therapy session, it was insane! She’ll finally be able to execute her plans. David warns her that he won’t do anything illegal and she walks away. She gets everyone’s attention and ask them to present themselves to the group. Chuck Gardner (Charles Baker) comes forward and he says he’s a sport fanatic. He’s addicted to heroin, but he hopes to turn his life around as a mascot. Dennis Cholowski (Daniel Stern) takes a step forward and he says he’s an ex-mascot who recently got out of jail a new man… along with a crystal meth addiction. Steve Dunn (Nick Swardson) takes a tiny step forward and introduces himself. He says he’s never had any friends and he wants to seize the opportunity to meet new people. By the way, he’s addicted to painkillers and that’s a huge factor as to why he doesn’t have any friends. Sarah thanks them for their input, but they didn’t have to share their tragic stories. She walks next to a drawing board and flips it around. She has a plan to make them rich, so they better suit up and do everything according to plan and they’ll be swimming in money in no time. David has some concerns, but he’s too small to get Sarah’s attention, as all the others, all even more desperate for money than the other, is jumping in celebration, saying it’s the best day of their lives. David wonders what he got himself into as the episode ends.

Plot:
David (Seth Green) is putting on his raging rabbit costume. He’s in the stands at the local little league baseball stadium. One of the newest rookie, Steve Dunn (Nick Swardson) is next to him in a squirrel costume. David teaches him to slide town a stairwell and land gracefully on his feet. He brought along their superfan Wilson Devereaux (David Cross) to judge if Steve is ready. David, who’s been doing this for a long time, does it like it’s nothing. Steve tries to replicate his movement, but he falls midway through, hurting himself. Wilson says their newest recruits are trash and David says to go easy on him, it’s not easy, he would like to see him try. Steve decides to head back to the locker room, he doesn’t think it’s the right move from him. David takes off his costume and lands it to Wilson, who wants to prove he can do it, but first he wants David to take a picture of him in the costume, he can’t believe he’s wearing it. Wilson tries to slide down the stairs and hurts himself. David says he told him so and he heads out in the locker room, only to see Steve taking a bunch of painkillers, the thing he’s addicted to.
David tells his girlfriend Jessie (Sarah Polley) that it isn’t going to work. She says she saw it coming with her psychic powers and told him so, but he doesn’t believe her so called powers have nothing to do with it, it was just common sense to think that taking a bunch of drug addicts and put them in mascot costumes would work. Jessie says that it worked for him though. David says he doesn’t have an addiction, but Jessie asks him not to lie about it. She read his hand the other day and everything pointed towards alcohol addiction. David asks her if it was more the traditional signs of alcoholism that gave it up and Jessie is mad that he doesn’t believe in her psychic powers. She turns around and closes he nightlight.
The next morning, David comes into work and enters Sarah’s (Alicia Silverstone) office. He tells her that it isn’t going to work and she asks him why not. He says they can’t hire drug addicts like that, they are still vulnerable. He caught Steve swallowing painkillers yesterday. The mascot business isn’t for everyone. Sarah thinks otherwise. She believes she’s giving them a second chance in life after everyone else gave up on them, and besides what he might think, being a mascot isn’t a noble job. He wants to know what her “big plan” is for the business and she says he just has to wait and see.
They come out of her office and take the presence. Everyone is there, except Dennis. Sarah asks if anyone knows where Dennis lives and Chuck (Charles Baker) says he does. David waves his hand in front of Steve, who doesn’t respond right away. He points it out to Sarah who notices Steve is probably high on painkillers. She says it’s better for him to be there than for him to be out on the streets. Sarah asks for David to go to the stadium with Chuck and Steve while she takes care of Dennis.
Sarah stops at Dr. Stewart’s office on her way to Cholowski’s. She brings Stewart (Stephen Merchant) with him because she’s afraid of what she might find. They knock on the door, but don’t hear anyone. She knocks again, still no response. Stewart tries for the handle, it’s unlocked. They get inside his house and can’t believe how dirty it is. Stewart finds Dennis (Daniel Stern), passed out on the ground. Sarah is horrified, but Stewart assures her he isn’t dead. He finds crystal next to him.
David is practicing the mascot drills with Chuck and Steve. Wilson is also there, monitoring them. David asks him if he leaves in the little league stadium and Wilson says he wonders the same thing sometimes. David warns him that it is pretty suspicious to see a lonely middle aged man hanging around a place prominently frequented by kids. His brown tracksuit doesn’t help his case either. Chuck is done with the drills and he stops by David. David asks him if he’s doing good and Chuck says he just wants to turn his life around, leave this dark chapter of his life behind. It thinks this is fun, it’s the cure for his internal pain. David is glad he likes it and he could very well be good at this if he keeps practicing.
Sarah arrives at the stadium, alone. They ask her if Dennis is alright and she says he’s doing fine. She tells there’s a game tonight and you knowhow passionate kids are about their kids. She just needs them to put on a good show between the fifth and sixth inning. That’s all she needs. The organizers already know about it and they need them to race each other. Of course, they should entertain everyone during the game, but they should go all out for the race. She says Chuck and Steve will have sponsored costumes, so it will bring in extra income, David will keep the local team’s mascot costume. She tries to leave, but David asks her if her “big plan” was just to get sponsored mascots and she tells him to wait and see.
During the game, David is his usual self, but he can’t dare to watch his new colleagues, botching every move and choreography. The only thing they are able to do is take pictures with children, not that it’s hard. The time has come for the race and superfan Wilson Devereaux introduces the contestants. The crowd is behind David and it lets the mascots know. The run goes exactly as they planned with everything going well. David is victorious and the crowd is happy. From the crowd, Sarah looks on, satisfied.
After the game, she meets up with her mascots. Dennis is with her this time. She unzips a sports bag, filled with money. David asks her where she got all that money and she says it comes from the concession stands. He asks her how she got the money and she says that for a man of his height, he sure asks a lot of questions. He can leave that to her and he keeps doing what he does best. No questions asked and the money will be there. Chuck counts the money with Steve. They both say that they’ve never held this much money in their hands. Steve says he could buy a week’s worth of painkillers with it and Sarah says that’s what she wants them to forget. Chuck says being a mascot is truly the cure for his pain, he hasn’t thought about heroin all day. David pats him on the back saying he did a great job.
When David comes back home with his part of the money, Jessie is proclaims that she saw it in a vision. David rolls his eyes and asks her to keep quiet about it, before going to bed. What a crazy day.

Plot: Following their payday last week, our rag-tag group of rookie mascots led by Sarah Bernard (Alicia Silverstone) is making the bag, week after week, in a different city. They celebrate together and often close the bars together following what they call a “win”. Sarah doesn’t bother to keep an eye on them. She chose to delegate that task to David Brady (Seth Green), his long-time employee, which wasn’t the best idea. His addiction to alcohol gets the better of him most of the time and his nights usually end either vomiting, or passed out on his couch as his wife Jessie (Sarah Polley) looks on discouraged, often telling to herself that she also predicted that. Following another successful robbery, David ‘s night ends on his sofa, once again.
Plot:
David is forced by Dr. Stewart (Stephen Merchant) to sit in the rotating chair of shame. Chuck (Charles Baker), well on his way to recovery, told on him to Stewart after his latest mishap with his poison. Stewart tries to dig deep into David’s brain to find the source of alcoholism, but David, who doesn’t believe in therapy is evasive with his answers. Once the session ends, Stewart takes Brady apart and he says they should meet up privately sometimes soon. He feels like David has issues that he has difficulties to deal with and talk about in front of others. David assures him that he’s fine. He leaves the post-meeting chat snack and he goes to the bar, where he sees Julian (Daveed Diggs). Julian asks him what he’s doing here tonight again, he was on his way to recovery. He tells Julian that he has some demons he wants to banish from his head. He thinks it’s understandable and shares a drink with him.
The following day, Sarah welcomes everyone back at the stadium where it all began and they go through their basic training. David approaches her and he confides in her that he’s afraid what they’re doing his illegal. She tells him yet another time that he doesn’t need to think about it and he should focus on his job instead. She has to leave out of nowhere and offers no explanation. When she comes back, she’s with Dennis Cholowski (Daniel Stern). She asks Dennis to explain to everyone what his important job is for all the operation, in other words, to tell them how they get the money. While they are doing whatever they’re doing on the field or in the stands, Dennis heads out and makes the food court stands to sign a contract stating they are willing to give all the money they earn today to a made-up foundation against addiction that is run by Sarah Bernard herself. There’s nothing illegal about that, or so he was told. Steve (Nick Swardson) can’t believe she sent Dennis to make them sign the contract when she could’ve send his adorable face instead. Chuck offers a better input, she should have sent David, he’s so small, nobody would’ve refused him. He doesn’t think that’s funny and leaves out of frustration. Chuck follows him. He asks him to think about all the good it has done to Steve, Dennis and himself. If he can’t appreciate that, he should at least do it for the others. He’s their leader and they couldn’t do it without him. David looks at him intensely and walks away.
David finds himself at the bar, again. His friend and morale compass Julian is also there. Julian is surprised to see him here again and David says the same thing. It’s weird to always see him here when he always campaigns against the dangers of alcoholism, it negates the effects a little bit. Julian confides he has some flaws too before ordering another drink. Julian asks him what’s his excuse today and David asks Julian if he can keep a secret whatever it is and Julian answers that of course he can. David tells his friend about what’s going on in the mascot organization and Julian listens with interest. He tells David that it’s disturbing, but he shouldn’t drop his mascot gig, that’s all he has in life and besides, the paycheck suddenly got bigger, wink, wink.
The night has come and David is once again in his rabid rabbit costume for a little league baseball game. He tries to find superfan Wilson through the crowd to have a little chat in the increasingly boring game, but he can’t find him anywhere. It’s showtime for the boys and today, they organised a paintball match through the crowd. Steve is in a hamburger outfit and Chuck is a coloring pencil. David hides in the crowd and emerges victorious in a glorious finale. The crowd is on its feet for the local team mascot and Sarah gives David the thumbs up, they’ll have their money. David continues to celebrate his win, but he’s not entirely focused. He slips in the stairs giving him a concussion.
Following the game, everyone is gathered around David and they all agree that the entirety of tonight’s jackpot will go towards helping David pay for his medical bill. Chuck wants to drive David to the hospital, but Sarah insists they stay here for a moment. Their act is more and more popular and she got them the gig of a lifetime, the Little League World Series, starting next week! The guys are happy about that, but worried that David isn’t going to make thanks to his concussion, but he tells them that he worked with worst than that. Chuck leaves with David for the hospital.
Jessie comes in David’s room running, saying she felt him get injured and came here as fast as she could. She told a woman her future before coming though, she paid well. She starts to tell David what the woman’s future will be and Chuck says he’ll leave them alone. He reminds him that he needs to rest before the World Series. Jessie screams that she felt he was going to work in the World Series this morning, before a doctor comes in and tells her to keep it down. She screams that she felt that too, before Chuck tells her nobody believes in her “powers”.

Alicia Silverstone .... Sarah Bernard
Daniel Stern .... Dennis Cholowski
Daveed Diggs .... Julian Gilmore
Plot: Sarah (Alicia Silverstone) asks her employees to give a warm welcome back to their ringleader and fearless mentor David (Seth Green), who comes back from his injury today. The fans have been waiting for their favorite rabbit to come back, because Chuck’s (Charles Baker) efforts were… underwhelming (we see stock footage of Chuck botching the rabbit’s trademark moves). Chuck says he’s sorry he didn’t hold up to his standards, but David assures him that it’s fine. Sarah asks for their attention, because she says she has a way to make even more money, because they can’t keep their scam for the Little League World Series, there are too many sponsors and it’s just not feasible. She thought of something else. Back when David injured himself, the players on the field were so distracted by what happened and for losing their mascot that it threw them off the game and they lost, despite enjoying a comfortable lead before the incident. She feels like they have to power to somehow influence the outcome of games and they can use that in their favor. We all know parents can get a little too excited for their children (cut to stock footage of parents who are way too excited and engaged in a Little League baseball game) and this is the World Series we’re talking about, so if they can think they could make money of their child’s team, they will be so confident in their abilities that they will accept. Dennis (Daniel Stern) will take the wagers and she’ll give them instructions through a air piece. This can work, but she needs their support. She asks them if they’re on board. Steve (Nick Swardson) expresses concerns over their abilities as mascots, given they haven’t done this for a long time and tells him to just shut up and do his job, he’s just putting on a stupid costume and entertaining children, it can’t be that hard. He warns her that everyone who claimed that found out soon enough it is more difficult than it looks. Frustrated, she asks them once again if they’re on board and they say, in unison, that they are ready to make her plan work.
David enters his favorite bar and orders the same beer he usually does. Just like every other time, Julian (Daveed Diggs) is already there. He asks him what happened to him, he hasn’t seen him for a while and David says he gave himself a concussion at the job, it was this whole big thing. Julian asks him if that’s the reason why he’s drinking tonight and David says he doesn’t need a reason to drink, but Julian argues that every recovering alcoholic always find an excuse to drink again, so what’s his excuse tonight. David points out that he asks a lot of questions and he’s really judgemental for someone who seems to live on that stool, but he’s right, he’s drinking for a reason. He just wants to forget how he’S going to abuse a parent’s love of his child for his own advantage and he explains the whole plan to Julian, while they share drinks.
Steve, David, Dennis, Chuck and Sarah drive together to the stadium, where Sarah recaps everything they’re supposed to do today. She got them the majority of mascot contracts for the tournament, so they need to take advantage of every opportunity. Their focus will remain on Australia, the least-favored participant, because this is where they will make the most money. She understands why they would like to encourage their home state, but even if Australia comes face to face with Louisiana, they would need to push an Australia win.
Moments later, David gives a pep talk to Chuck and Steve. The first game pits the state of Kentucky against the state of Alaska. Kentucky starts as the heavy favorite and they must do everything in their favor to make Alaska win. Dennis counts the jackpot, they can make a lot of money out of this match alone, enough to boost David’s confidence that they can really make a lot of money with this, but Steve and Chuck are nervous. David asks them to simply follow his lead and everything will turn out to alright. Chuck scans through the crowd and he notices that superfan Wilson Devereaux isn’t here. It’s highly unusual for him to miss games and they haven’t seen him for about two weeks. Steve wonders where he is , but David tells them there’s no time for that, it’s their time to shine.
Fast forward to the seventh inning, Kentucky is enjoying a three-point lead and Chuck, thanks to killer dance moves, does enough to distract the Kentucky pitcher, so he throws three consecutive bases on balls before he’s replaced. The batter hits a fly ball to center field and Steve initiates a loud crowd reaction that spooks the center fielder and he drops the ball. The error brings in four runners in and Alaska takes the lead. David works the crowd to get them behind the underdogs and Alaska is able to edge out a one-point win. Sarah makes bank and Dennis redistribute part of the money to the few people who placed a bet on Alaska. Sarah tells them in their ear-piece that they have to keep this going.
We see a fast footage of them trying various ways to get the team they want to win and they are successful. Australia is advancing in the tournament and they are making a lot of money with it. In between two games, David, Chuck and Steve try to go and talk to Sarah, but they welcomed by Dennis, instead. He orders them to throw away their headpieces and to not answer any questions about this. David doesn’t understand what he’s talking about and Steve points at something outside the stadium. Sarah is arrested and she’s pushed inside a police car. It looks like they’re in trouble.

Plot: David (Seth Green), following Sarah’s arrest, takes the matter into his own hands. He orders Chuck (Charles Baker) and Steve (Nick Swardson) to stay here and work the games as they normally would, without the elaborate scheme and everything that goes with it, only mascot work now. David will stay here and work with them. Since Dennis (Daniel Stern) doesn’t have anything to do anymore, he will be the one to head over to the police station to find out what’s happening. They agree to the plan and go back to their job, as the next game is about to start.
Dennis heads over to the police station, where he’s able to speak with Sarah (Alicia Silverstone). They say their detain her on fraud and extortion charges, but they don’t need to worry, she won’t rat them out. She might be able to find a way to get out of here. She says a parent was probably just too frustrated that his son kept losing and, at the same time, throwing his money down the drain. They don’t have proof that she’s involved in some of sort of scheme and she won’t give them any indication that she might be. Dennis asks her if he can pay her bail and she refuses to, saying that it would be too risky for a man of his stature and appearance to pay her bail in cash today. She tells him not to worry, she’ll get out of here soon. He asks her what they can now that that she’s in jail and she tells them to hold on and to honor the association contracts. A police officer throws Dennis out, they need to speak to her.
David left the game early and he decided, instead, to secure the money they already have before they obtain a search warrant for the association’s office. He gets a lot of weird looks downtown when he walks with his rabbit costume. He gets on a public bus and he sits alone in the front row. An old woman gets on the bus and sits next to him. He asks her if she’s going to ask him weird questions today and she answers that she let the others live their lives as they want to, and, after all, she has done her fair shares of weird things back when she was a hippie. He says it’s nice to see someone who’s not judgemental. He stinks from being stuck in this stupid costume all day, he reeks of alcohol, as always and still, she sits here and doesn’t say a word. He gets off the bus and fills his costume with money before heading out.
Dennis is allowed to see Sarah again and she says she learned new development in her case. It’s not the benign thing she thought he was. The policeman just revealed her what he knows and he was surprisingly accurate, with a few details incorrect. She denied anything, but it looks like someone ratted her, or them out. She tasks Dennis of finding out who did it, because it looks like she’ll be here a while. She won’t rat them out and if she’s finally accused, she’ll claim she acted alone, but she wants to know who ratted them out.
David enters his apartment and is greeted by his girlfriend Jessie (Sarah Polley). She orders him to stop moving and she claims to use her psychic powers for something. She correctly guesses that David is hiding money in his suit, but David points out that it was quite evident, bills were showing from the rabbit head. She’s frustrated that he doesn’t believe in her powers and he says in order for him to be impressed by her so-called powers, she needs to guess how he got that money. She says it’s unfair he puts her in a situation she hasn’t prepared for and he says that’s why he thinks she doesn’t have psychic powers, because she always guesses things that are really evident. Jessie is curious what he’ll do with all this money, they surely can’t keep it here. He says he doesn’t know and she asks if she can take some to buy some shoes and clothes and he tells her to serve herself. She fills a bag of money and heads to her computer to shop online. David has an illumination and leaves the apartment in a hurry with the money.
He goes to next door’s apartment to his friend Jesus (Gabriel Iglesias), who left the mascot industry after suffering a heart attack in the middle of a made-up wrestling ring. Jesus sees the money and he asks David if it’s a “I’m sorry” gift for giving him a heart attack and he says he can see it that way. He asks his friend if he can be honest with him and trust him and Jesus says he sees David as a brother, of course he can. He tells Jesus everything that happened since he left and Jesus accepts to hide the money while things cool off.
Two months later
A luxury car parks in David’s spot in front of his apartment. David exits his apartment with shades and a leather coat. Jessie had her nails done and hair extension. She says she digs David’s new look. He looks like he’s going for the mid-life crisis look and he pulls it off. She asks him if he wants to go eat at Rivieri’s tonight ands he says he’d rather not, he just got on the VIP list at Mario’s and he would like to try it out. He turns on the television to the news. They report that a man is in critical condition after a drug overdose. David doesn’t really look at it, but Jessie asks David if he used to work with that man and he recognizes Chuck. Reality got back at David.

Seth Green .... David Brady
Charles Baker .... Chuck Gardner
Nick Swardson .... Steve Dunn
Daniel Stern .... Dennis Cholowski
Stephen Merchant .... Dr. Stewart
David Cross .... Wilson Devereaux
Sarah Polley .... Jessie
Gabriel Iglesias .... Jesus Iglesias
Plot: David (Seth Green) is taken aback that his former colleague and friend Chuck nearly killed himself after falling, once again, into the addiction pit. He sits silently on his couch and Jessie (Sarah Polley) keeps asking him questions about Chuck. David drowns all the sound by going deep into his memories and remembering the good moments he had with his work crew. She suddenly realises they were all having substance problems and he figures out that ever since they stopped working together when Sarah was arrested, they probably went right back to their old habits. He heads out his apartment with his brand new designer leather coat claiming he wants to get the boys back on track.
On his way out of the apartment, David is stopped dead in his track by his neighbour, Jesus (Gabriel Iglesias). He says he’s tired of hiding his money in his apartment and he wants in on whatever he is doing, because clearly, it works. Things haven’t been easy since he suffered from his heart attack and he wants to make money just like David does. David reminds him that it’s better for him not to get in this business, it’s dirty and he doesn’t want to hurt anyone else. His hands are dirty, and he doesn’t want to do harm to nobody else. Jesus is perturbed by David’s words and leaves him alone and David says it’s for the better.
As David enters his car, he’s interrupted by someone else, Dennis (Daniel Stern). Dennis tells David that it’s nice to see he’s doing good for himself with the money he stole from the others. David says he still has their share safe somewhere, he was just waiting for everything to cool down to give to everyone else. Dennis says they haven’t heard anything for the last month, so it’s time he gives them their shares. He asks Dennis if he heard what happened to Chuck, so he doesn’t want to give anyone money until he knows they won’t spend it all on drugs or whatever fulfills their needs. Dennis doesn’t care about the others, he wants his share and Sarah needs hers too. From what he remembers, no one counted the money and it looks like he had a lot of money to spend. For all he cares about, David ratted her out and took off with the money. Sarah asked him to find out who gave her up to the authorities and everything points to him right now. David assures him he didn’t rat them out. Dennis says it will be up to Sarah to decide if she believes him and he leaves.
David decides to find all the other members of their crew so they will be able to tell Sarah he didn’t rat her out, they all saw him as their brother, basically, except Dennis, with whom he barely talked, so he doesn’t understand. He passes in front of Dr. Stewart’s clinic and he decides to stop to see if Steve is there, because Chuck won’t be here for sure. Dr. Stewart (Stephen Merchant) is in the middle of a group therapy session and when he sees David, he asks if he wants to join the group. He finds out soon enough he cannot say no. Stewart sits him in the rotating chair, allowing David to see Steve (Nick Swardson). Stewart asks David if he needs to confess anything today and David reminds him they aren’t in a church and he doesn’t need to confess anything. He says he can feel something is bothering him and David opens up about how he feels responsible for his friend Chuck’s overdose. Stewart and Steve learn at the same time about Chuck’s overdose and Stewart, troubled to find out one of his ex-patient went back to old habits sends everyone on a break. Steve gets reaches over to David and straps him out of the rotating chair. He wants to go see Chuck.
When they arrive at the hospital, they rush to Chuck (Charles Baker)’s room, where they find out he doesn’t have a family and they are the first visitor he has. Steve says what Dennis is saying is complete bullshit and he’s willing to stand with David. He knows he wouldn’t blow this up willingly. As for the money, it would be nice to have it, but it doesn’t bother him. David says it’s good to see him doing great after all these months. Steve says he would be lying if he said it wasn’t hard. He gave them a purpose and all of a sudden, they had nothing, just like they did before. It was hard to resist the urge to go back to past habits, but he kept fighting, he held on to the hope that it would get easier once he had his share of the money. Dr. Stewart was a big help and seeing him today made him feel good. Being in Chuck’s room makes him realise that he’s happy he made the right choice. David asks Steve to come with him to the prison, so he can tell Sarah he would never throw them under the bus. He says it’s a wonderful idea and they leave to see Sarah in prison.
They get to the closest prison they can think of and when they ask to meet with Sarah, they tell them there’s no Sarah Bernard in here. They take a look at the list of inmates and find out it’s a male incarceration center. Before they leave, David notices a Wilson Devereaux is listed as one of the inmates. David asks if they can see him and out comes Wilson (David Cross). He’s happy to see David and David asks him what he’s doing here. David says there has been a mistake and he’s accused of indecent exposure. His life is ruined. He needs David to pay off his bail so he can go out there and organise his defense better. David says he’ll come back for him at some point, but he has something more urgent to do. Wilson asks him what’s more important than helping a friend in need and David reminds him he’s not his friend and leaves.
When they get to the prison, they see Dennis getting out. He says Sarah doesn’t believe him, she’s now more certain than ever that he ratted her out. He wishes the good luck inside and leaves. They announce themselves at the front desk and wait.

Daniel Stern .... Dennis Cholowski
Daveed Diggs .... Julian Gilmore
Sarah Polley .... Jessie
Plot: David (Seth Green) and Steve (Nick Swardson) are escorted by a prison guard to the safe zone where they will meet with Sarah. They talk about how weird it is to see her there and how special it was to see Wilson at the other prison, and they were taken by surprise that he was accused of a sex crime, but anyway, he has the right profile. They sit down and Sarah (Alicia Silverstone) is brought to them. She says they should stop coming here, the guards are getting suspicious of her receiving so much visits and they won’t believe how painful by the cavity searches are and she gets one after every single one of them. David and Steve laugh awkwardly and ask her if she did anything to receive that treatment and she says she had Dennis smuggle in cell phones and pornography when he came to visit her and the guards caught on. She says they told her she had two suspicious men here to see her, so she’ll probably have one again and both David and Steve wonder what is suspicious about them. Enough chit-chat and let’s talk.
Dennis (Daniel Stern) crosses his legs and opens a newspaper, sitting in Chuck’s (Charles Baker) room at the hospital, waiting for him to wake up. He’s vulnerable, the weak link, so if he applies enough pressure, he can make him crack and reveal who snitched them out and put an end to the whole thing. Jessie (Sarah Polley) enters the room with flowers to give to Chuck. She stops dead in his tracks and closes her eyes. She says she’ll guess who he is before he tells her. She asks him if used to work with David and Chuck and he says he did. He happily closes his newspaper, as he found out she might know more than he imagined, if she knew he existed. She praises her psychic talent as Dennis compliments her. He asks her what else she knows about her boyfriend’s job and she says she doesn’t know much, except that he made a lot of money, but now it is over. Dennis says it’s a shame it is all over and he asks her if she knows he stopped and she says she doesn’t, but she starts to list everything she has bought with the money and Dennis starts to read his newspaper again, bored.
Sarah tries to get a confession out of David, but to no avail. Steve defends him anyway he can and she accuses him of being paid by David to keep his mouth shut. Clearly, he used the money, because he looks way richer than he used to. She says it’s nice to see not look like a sad-sack anymore, she likes this look on him, but frankly, he looks ridiculous with his oversized leather coat, aviator glasses and fingerless gloves. Steve says he looks cool, and Sarah says David looks like he just got out of a bondage party. David says he has heard enough and leaves with Steve. He invites him to the bar so they can have a drink and chat over it, but Steve refuses, he’ll go home to his cat and watch a cheesy movie instead, but it was great to see him. They shake hands and David says he’ll get to the bottom of this.
Jessie is still blabbing about everything she bought with their money until she gets a text from David. He asks her if she wants a drink and she tells Dennis she’ll leave. She says David was different before he spent the money, he expressed remorse and he had an ethical dilemma about what he was doing, so she’ll have a drink with him to keep him happy, because she likes him more when she’s happy. Dennis, bored to death by her constant rambling, found the last bit interesting and she tells her he can lift her there. She follows him to his van he asks her to sit at the back of his white van. She says it’s the classic white van you shouldn’t approach and she holds on to the vehicle. She says she had a vision something bad was going to happen to her today in a white van. Dennis knocks her down and ties her in the back, saying she truly has a gift.
David is at the bar with Julian (Daveed Diggs) who immediately notes he has changed. David says he cut the bad ties in his life and it left all his worries away. Julian says he looks richer now too and David says he just used his earnings in superficial things to make him feel better. Julian asks him if he found peculiar how it stopped and he asks him what he’s talking about. Julian says he made a little phone call to help. David was clearly not happy about what he was doing and what it was doing to him and he couldn’t just sit back and let his friend torture himself like that, so he made a call and now David is relieved of his worries. David can’t believe it and he starts to talk really loud. David says it wasn’t Julian’s business and he shouldn’t have called the police. David can’t believe Julian did this and leaves. Dennis, drinking in the corner, smile in satisfaction.

Plot: Julian Gardner (Daveed Diggs) is all tied up in the back of a van and next to him is Jessie (Sarah Polley). She’s starts to scream and closes her eyes, because she felt something was going to happen to her tonight involving a guy with crazy hair in the back of a van. Julian says she’s making that shit up and he isn’t going to rape her. He wonders what the hell they are doing here and Sarah is of no use, lost in her delirium. At the front, Dennis (Daniel Stern) calls Sarah (Alicia Silverstone) in jail with her illegal cellphone. He tells her he found the two culprits and she asks who they are. It’s David’s girlfriend and a weird guy he found in a bar. He asks her what he should do with them and she asks him to know why they did it. Dennis is let down, he had more fun ideas in mind, like waterboarding, nail removing and he had a lot of electric stuff ready. Sarah asks him if he kidnapped them and he says he did. She can’t believe he went to violence for this and he says she asked him to take care of it and she says that’s not what she meant, she wanted to know it or her legal defense and it’s all ruined. Daniel hangs up and opens the back of the van. He tells them they were kidnapped, and it was a mistake. They do not take the news well.
David (Seth Green) is at the hospital, in Chuck’s (Charles Baker) room, sobbing. He’s holding his hand, waiting for him to wake up. He says he’s sorry for what happened to him. He felt guilt for his overdose he took responsibility for it, because he was the one who stopped their activities even if Sarah was arrested, but it turns out he wasn’t responsible for it at all. He hopes he forgives him and he will be his friend again once he wakes up. He believes in him and he says he got money on the side to help him pay for the medical bill, because he’s pretty sure he doesn’t have health insurance and he laughs. David is interrupted by Dr. Stewart (Stephen Merchant). He congratulates him for his moving speech and he tells David that Chuck is hearing him even if it doesn’t look like it. David dries his eyes up and he looks at his phone while Stewart keeps talking about the dangers of addiction. David gets all white and leaves the room in a hurry. Stewart is offended, he thought he was making an equally moving speech. He sits on the chair and reads Dennis’ leftover newspaper. He hears movement to his right. Chuck woke up and he sees him. He’s discouraged that the first person he sees after waking up if the last person he wanted to see. Stewart is again, offended and he starts his speech on the dangers of addiction again.
David, on his way out of the hospital, calls Steve (Nick Swardson), who is sitting at home, eating ice cream out of the jar, watching a Lifetime movie with his cat by his side. David says Jessie has been kidnapped by Dennis and Steve is shocked. David says he received a text from her saying her prophecy was real and she said she saw herself getting kidnapped in a white van and it must be Dennis, because he drives a suspicious white van. They both agree his van looks suspicious and Steve says he’s watching a really good movie, so he won’t be able to make it. David chastises him, saying he can hear him eating ice cream from the phone and for everything he has done for him, he could have the decency to help him. Steve grunts and gets up. He’ll come over. They’ll meet at the bar and start their investigation.
Steve meets with David at the bar and starts to look for clues. Steve says he could be good at this, he used to watch Blues Clues religiously and Steve was his idol. David asks him if that’s why he developed a drug addiction, like Steve and he says he was his idol because he was named Steve, just like him and he felt like he could do what Blues Clues’ Steve could do. David admits it sounds confusing, but enough of that banter, he just wants to find his girlfriend and his former friend. Steve concentrates and he finds something on the ground. David looks and it looks like Steve unknowingly found Julian’s scarf, but it won’t lead them anywhere. Steve looks up and it doesn’t look like they are going to look much longer, Dennis is parked across the street and they can see him freak out in the front of his van.
Steve lifts David so he can knock on Dennis’ window and see him. Dennis freaks out even more and David says it’s over for him, police is on the way and they are going to arrest him for kidnapping Jessie and Julian. Steve keeps Dennis company before the police arrives and David unties Jessie, who was still freaking out and telling them how her psychic talent really work and how much they’re going to listen to them from now on. The police arrives and arrest Dennis. David lets Julian go and he tells him to never meddle in his business again, because he intends to give his friends another purpose.
