Driver (Dan Stevens) waits under the darkness as he listens to traffic report in his car. He sits waiting as the clock hits 10:42 pm and he sets up his watch onto the steering wheel and sets it for 5 minutes as now the clock says 10:45 pm and he starts it. He sits back as he listens to the timer and the toothpick resting between his teeth. "There are a hundred-thousand of streets in the city..." The clock ticks down. "You don't need to know the route..." A bang goes off in the blackness as Driver pays no mind. He changes the car to drive as he slowly drives up to a better position. "You give me a time and a place; I give you a five minute window...." The street light shines on the Driver's mouth as his tooth pick unmoved. "Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours...." The driver takes to his glove box and pulls out a police scanner and turns it on to the right frequency. He listens for any reports as one comes into about a possible break in. The timer gets to two and a half minutes. "No matter what." A door is heard blasted open as the driver looks to see and looks away. "Anything that happens a minute either side of that..." The driver grips the steering wheel, hearing the sound of leather gloves against the leather of the steering wheel.
"And you're on your own... Kapeesh?" Three dudes run into the back seat as one has a shotgun and panty hose on his head and the other three have ski masks and bags of money with guns. The scanner talk to a squad car about going to check the situation. The car begins to roar to life then a gun shot at the nearest one to the right near window.
The guy on the right head's explodes as the other two panics. The driver races down the street then into an empty road till a police car from behind pulls up siren blaring. The two guys scream at each other how they are done for. The middle guy screams what to do about Frank.
Then the driver turns a sharp corner that quickly opens the back right door to push Frank out of the car. The left guy screams about the money with Frank but the Driver doesn't care. The door slams shut by the speed. They go off through the narrow alley as the cop is behind. He goes left as it tries to dodge the incoming cop car as the other in the alley tail ends the incoming cop car making it fly into a pole.
The police scanner alerts all officers as driver hears a helicopter fly over them. The driver sees they are close to the light and takes a detour off almost making the car going into it crash into the wall.
The driver hears the panic of the two as the left one breathes heavy. He grabs his shotgun and looks at the driver who glances at him and makes a look at him in the rear view mirror.
"Fuck it." The left guy goes out of the window and starts to shoot his shotgun at the helicopter. The car roars even louder as three cop cars come in full force. The guys keep firing at the cops as he hits one. The car on the left gets the steering shot as it loses control under its max speed and flips over and onto another incoming car. Cop cars begin to shoot. The left guy gets hit and blood sprays in the air. The guy drops the shotgun and slides into his seat. A bullet flies into his neck and puts his left hand holding his neck. His buddy begins to freak out and grab a rag off the floor but the guy chokes on his own blood.
The driver looks at the incoming stop light and the traffic of the city as he brings his hand to the emergency break. The left guy fades slowly as his friend tries to save him. The driver pulls the emergency breaks as the lights on the opposite sides turn green and the fusion slides quickly around the middle without hitting a single car and into the other lane. The cop cars get embraced by the incoming traffic of cars as both directions the cars smash into the police. The driver quickly drives fast into the lane as the driver goes into the left that heads for the ghetto.
The middle guy tries to tell dead Gary they're saved. The driver goes down the hood as the driver pulls into a garage. The driver looks at his watch. The driver opens the door and grabs Gary and throws him to the ground. The middle guy goes at him but the driver catches him and slams him onto the car with his forearm crushing his throat. You see the anger on the Driver's face and the intense look "Your stupid friend is dead." He squeezes a little tighter as he reminds him he made it. The driver lets go as the middle guy drops to the floor and looks at the bloody mess of his friend with the door still open.
The driver leaves as he knocks on the door and it opens to reveal a big black man, Moses (Morris Chestnut). The driver gives the keys and the man nods in response and goes in and the Driver out.
Driver stops and turns to look at his friend and says "And make sure baby Sherman gets the hell out too." The driver walks down the garage path and onto the road as we see black 1967 Mustang on the side. The driver opens the drunk and pulls out a coat and puts it on.
It’s a satin coat that shows a Smooth tan scorpion behind. Driver zips it up and gets into the car. He sits peacefully as he looks to sees the color of police sirens. He puts the key in and drives off as he looks around and gets out of dodge. The driver sighs and turns on the radio.
Night by Kavinsky ft. Lovefoxx plays as the title in hot pink "DRIVE" display over the city of Phoenix, AZ. The driver drives around as road signs and places show. Till we get in front of the driver and it fades to black.
The driver walks down the hallway of his apartment floor. He gets to his room 209 and unlocks the door. Driver places the groceries down and takes a step but hears the crushing of glass under his boots. Driver says as he looks around and sees the kitchen which has a pot of boiling water foaming out onto the stove. Driver quickly turns it off and keeps looking. He sees the bedroom light on. He sees blood on the floor. He opens the door to his bedroom to find Mia (Jessica Paré) with her neck slit open and her eyes open. Her wrists are slit too as she holds a red rose where her hands are. Driver begins to breathe hard and shake uncontrollably. He buckles down as he crouches down and cries.
Driver looks up and sees Detective Officer Herb Lake Winston (Bruce Campbell) in front of him. Driver is now in his seat at the police station as he also has a cup of coffee in his hands. "You know you haven’t said a word since this all happened. Well except when to call the police.” "I... didn't... F***ing... kill... my... wife...." Herb puts his hands up in defensive that he’s just doing his job.
He reminds him he was the last person to see her… but he interrupts him. Herb is shocked at the few words "Just say dead.” "Well did she have any enemies?" Driver shakes his head. "What about you?" Driver looks up confused by that. He repeats the question again. Driver looks away from the officer as he briefly goes back years ago… “You start the rest of your life. Any dreams you have, ore plans, or hopes for your future... I think you’re going to have to put that on hold...”
Goes back to the dinner scene with Rose. Rose stares at Driver, “For the rest of your life, you’re gonna be looking over your shoulder.” Driver is in his car sitting in the police parking lot. He looks down at the steering wheel. “I’m just telling you this because I want you to know the truth.” He slams hammer fist onto the horn as it sounds off and hits the steering wheel again and again till he’s a raging animal inside till he stops suddenly with an exhausted look on his face.
(Roxanne by The Police) 1967 mustang drives down the street as he passes all the club lights and bars in town. Driver goes to the back and drives into employee parking. The music dies as Driver sits back and looks at the door with the big bouncer outside standing by. The driver goes to reach under the passenger seat and pulls out a huge blunt hammer. The driver looks at it and measures the weight. The driver then goes for a box filled with sunglasses and wigs. He takes the ones that make him look like a greasy but rich customer with the expensive Gucci glasses.. He sighs and gets out but takes off his jacket and places it in his seat.
Driver walks through the door as he looks around as the lights ahead are flashing (Poppin Off by Watch The Duck plays.) We see that the handle of the hammer is in the back-pocket with a bit of blood dripping. Driver walks out passes working girls that laugh and pay no mind. Driver dodges and moves out of others way and gets to a door that leads to the kitchen. He doesn't hear the bartender and keeps walking as the small group look at him. There are a set of stairs at the back and Driver walks up. A guy goes down to tell him he’s not allowed. Suddenly the guy flies down the stairs as Driver now heads up still and the guy crashes into some pots and pans.
Driver gets to a door and knocks in a tune. The eyesight opens and sees Driver ‘Oh shit” A opera musical plays out as [Slow Motion] Driver kicks in the door as there is a big room with a Colombian dances at one corner in a cage and three dudes snorting coke on a wooden table and on a red fuzzy couch. The guy at the door falls back. Driver goes to the guy sitting next to the door, pulls out the hammer and hits him on the side of the head. He goes inside for his gun and shoots the three guys and shoots them before they get theirs. The girl shouts, the doorman goes for the driver, knocking the gun away. Driver head butts him and punches his throat. The doorman goes for his gun but the driver beats him and fires it in its holster and shots the door man’s foot. Driver goes for the hammer on the ground and in one motion he grabs it and slams the tail end under the doorman’s jaw. The doorman is limp as the group of five going up the stairs fires an unholy share for bullets and the driver turns to use the body to take the bullets. The hammer holding the body. The guns shot flames and the bullet keep hitting either the dead guy or the background and extra bullets onto the three dead guys on the couch all the pictures or items with cushioning and feathers flying. [Stop Slow Motion] Finally they stop at once to reload.
Driver takes on foot and kicks the body off the hammer to fling it at the group. Driver dives behind the door and places it up. He looks around and sees the tank of oxygen for the dude who’s passed out and places it in front of the door. He sees a fancy lighter with tweedy bird on it dressed in 49ers attire and black paint under his eyes.
The group gets the dead body off them. Driver turns the knob but it doesn't turn. The group start to go up the stairs as the opera singer reaches a high note. Driver looks back at the hammer on the floor next to him and grabs it. Driver sets the hammer in his hands and looks at the girl “Duck” The girl looks at him scared and confused.
{SLOW MOTION} Driver quickly knocks off the knob with the hammer, oxygen hisses out of the tank, and turns the door over with the open tank of oxygen. Driver sets the light out and opens the eyesight and throws the light through. The lighter falls as the opera singer keeps the high note. The group stops in front of the door and sees the lighter all the way to the point tweedy meets the oxygen.
The tank explodes as Driver dives away from the door with his hammer and covers the guy he knocked out. Flames shoot out from the tank and engulf the group of dudes and leads all the way down to the kitchen scaring the club and the kitchen crew. The fire alarm sounds as sprinklers go off trying to minimize the flames. The opera music goes to a complete stop.
Driver is covered in wood shredding from the blast and dust as he coughs and look up with one half of his glasses completely gone and the lenses gone for the other half. His wig is messed up and to the side as he tries to get up and sees the guy he knocked is OK and the girl is crying under a desk praying to God.
Driver sits up and coughs to look at the aftermath. He sees the whole room is wrecked and the junkie is on the floor with one of them burned on one side. Driver blanks his face and tries to get to his feet and groans wildly. He holds on side as he limps walking over to the desk and goes to look at the girl who is crying out of her wits. He watches her as she looks at him. He talks in Columbine to her. She in her own time and points at a big Maroon leather door. Driver looks and thanks her. Driver turns to the door as the girl gets up from the desk and runs out of the room not before she sees the burned bodies, screams and faints.
Driver clicks his tongue and looks back and sees the gun chamber on his left and tries to open it but it’s locked. Driver takes his hammer and smashes the glass in. Driver grabs the military grade shotgun. He looks at it and looks impressed and takes out shells. He shakes a few in his hands as some land on the ground. Driver loads the gun and hmms the tune of Poppin Off. He cocks the gun and gets to the chorus and aims.
The door knob is blown off and the door swings easily off. Driver stands with a shot gun aimed in the darkness as one light is shown on a desk and a man with his chair to the door. The chair turns around and a man with a nice million dollar suit. There are TVs for the cameras to the side. Driver breathes as he shows no remorse for this man.
Peter Ridge (Peter Capaldi) is shoved into a chair as Driver has taken him to an empty warehouse with one light over the chair on one light bulb. Peter straightens out his suit as he makes a joke about killing for the suit. Driver doesn't reply. He stands in the shadows with a toothpick in his mouth. He looks at Driver and sees how motionless he is. Peter chuckles as he crosses his legs. “You know, you are the first person I think ever that has the mob wanting to kill, but too scared to do it? I gotta say that takes some serious balls and talent to have that fear.”
Peter looks at Driver as he just doesn't show what he is thinking. “One tough cookie, you are. I heard of your little fiasco in LA. One million dollars. Lives were lost. You killed two of the main shot callers in Hollywood. One I knew very well and liked and the other, a Fucking dumb Jew, who I am glad is dead. Guess the waves finally crushed Nino. About time, God Forbid.” Driver speaks softly “Who did it?” Peter is set back. “From now on, everything you’ll say will be the truth... Not one word other. If I find out I can’t get what I want…” Peter’s eyes flash to horror as Driver lets go and slowly stands back up and stands tall in the light. Driver’s shadow covers Peter as he doesn't break eye contact. Peter stalls which upset Driver to the point he screams at him to answer. Driver slams the hammer on a metal case next to Peter stare at the hammer stained with blood. Peter takes a glop and clears his throat. Driver gives him one more chance but Peter can’t in fear for his life. Driver grabs Peter and lifts him up to meet his face in a very scary, forceful way. Peter shouts out “S!!” Driver stops as he almost has the razor blades between Peter’s lips. Driver looks at Peter with that intense look and shoves Peter down. Peter cries out as he becomes relieved.
Peter calms down as he thought Driver would hurt him. Peter’s face becomes blank and all hope he just got disappeared as Driver goes for the light as Peter screams out in pain as the hammer can be heard cracking something.
(“Find You By Zedd (Feat. Matthew Koma & Miriam Bryant) plays on the radio. The roads of Phoenix are bared at the dead of night. He narrates how he isn’t a monster, a hero, or a killer. He sees the nightlife in the city. We go to Peter as police rush into the warehouse. Peter holding his mouth as blood leaks out.
Driver sits in his car looking at the beautiful park with a hill that shows the town straight ahead, where Driver is talking to Peter, “I want you to give a message....” Driver is seen washing the hammer in a metal sink that he brought and using a towel to get any that are left. “I will find him.” Driver stares out at the rising sunrise. He gets out of the car as he turns it off and walks up in front of the car to get a good look at it. “Tell him... I will kill him.” Driver puts the hammer into a gym bag. “Tell him Mia is going to be at peace when I find him.” Driver sits down on the hood. “And when I do... And I will.... I don’t care who I have to find, beat, or even kill... This will all be over until one of us is died.”
The cop looks around and finds it clear as one of them goes up to Peter and asks him what happened. Back to the former scene, Driver gets done cleaning whatever he picked up and turns to Peter who is breathing slowly and steady. “You got all that? Hate for the medication to mess up your next and only job.” Driver throws whatever he picked up at Peter and stands up puts his sink into the case and grabs his bag and walks off. Driver walks into the darkness as we go down as see the thing Driver threw at Peter are five teeth to his upper row of teeth. Driver watches the sun shine up and over the city. The light rises up to the driver till it reaches all of him.

Plot: A recap of the last episode plays.
We fade in to see the aftermath of Driver's assault on the club. Herb Lake Winston (Bruce Campbell) walks into the crime scene as his partner, Milton Brant (Benjamin Bratt), is already talking to the team about evidence. Herb looks at the carnage as he's beside himself by it. Milton is too as he informs him that a man in a wig and sunglasses beat the bouncer to almost death and forced himself up to this so-called VIP room. Herb asks if they got a good look at him. Milton mentions there were security cameras but it’ll be awhile since the explosion caused some damage. Herb looks around figuring that the people in the room were killed brutally with a hammer. The inserts from the nail remover are shown. Herb soaks it all up as Milton asks what he thinks. Herb thinks that whoever did this, he/she is just getting started and no one is safe.
We go to an empty alley as the camera slowly zooms in as someone is viciously shoved out the backdoor. The man stumbles as he tries to get up but someone is seen walking right up to him.
He knees the guy in the stomach a few times then lands a hard left punch. He asks him about who killed his wife as the guy tries to tell him he's got the wrong guy but it's no use. The man lands a few more punches till the guy finally tells him to look for Peter Ridge (Peter Capaldi). If anyone wants to put out a hit, they have to talk to him first. The man thanks him then knocks him out. He straightens his jacket as when the camera finally gets up to him, we see it's the Driver (Dan Stevens) will a little blood splatter on his face. A violent look coats his face.
Night by Kavinsky ft. Lovefoxx plays as the title in hot pink "DRIVE" display over the city of Phoenix, AZ. The driver drives around as road signs and places show. Till we get in front of the driver and it fades to black.
Driver is seen lying on the windshield of his car as he seems to be calm. He looks at the bright sky seeing many shapes in the sky. He enjoys what will probably be the last peaceful day. He gets off the car, puts on his coat, and then goes into the car. “Hold You in My Arms” by Ray LaMontagne
Driver opens the door to his apartment as he doesn’t turn the light on to avoid seeing the damaged apartment. Flashes of him finding Mia (Jessica Paré), the sadness, and then the rage, Driver can’t take it. He closes the door and leaves.
Herb and Milton are hard at work looking over the security tapes. Herb is frustrated because all they can see is just a man walking up to the bouncer, beating him ruthlessly, and walk in avoiding any other cameras. Milton mentions that the club is owned by one, Peter Ridge. Herb is setback by that as Ridge is the peace negotiator for all the crime families in town. Milton one ups himself by saying they found him after an anonymous call. Herb rushes to go question him but Milton tells him that’ll be awhile. Herb asks why. Milton tells Herb five of Ridge’s teeth were pulled out. Herb stares at Milton in disbelief as Milton agrees with Herb about earlier.
Driver is seen getting out his car in front of Moses’ house. Moses (Morris Chestnut) walks out to him, almost shouting if he is insane. Drive doesn't speak back as he pretends to not have any idea what that means. Moses heard about him taking on one of the biggest crime figures in town. Driver just wanted to talk but Moses isn’t having it. He’s crossed a line and now he’s in almost everyone’s sight. “Good” is all Driver says as he heads inside. Moses rubs his chin as he mutters how he needs better friends. He follows him as we see a dark car drive up.
Herb and Milton head inside of the hospital where Peter Ridge is being held. They talk how they hope Peter can help them find their mystery man. They walk up to the elevator as some rugged looking men walk out. Herb watches them Milton asks what’s up. Herb just had a funny feeling about them.
They walk into the room to see Peter Ridge with some bruises lying in his bed. Milton sees Peter is sleeping and asks how to wake him up. “Like this…” Herb folds the IV to make Peter wake up in a shock. Peter looks around like if someone came to finish the job. Herb notices and makes a crack about the night Peter had. Peter doesn’t speak because of the injury. Milton goes on to mention how they know who he is but don’t know why someone would attack him. Ridge just eyes them as Herb then gives his guess. Maybe Ridge crossed someone or maybe he just had it coming. Milton thinks those might be it but he sees on Ridge’s face they aren’t the answers. Milton offers to protect Ridge as long as they get something to tell them who did this. Ridge points at a pen and pad which Herb grabs for him. Ridge writes something down and shows them. “No Use…” They ask why that is and Ridge writes “The Driver will find me…” “And he won’t stop…” Herb looks like he might have seen a ghost by this. Ridge then writes “Now Fuck Off” Milton agrees as he sees Herb’s reaction.
Driver walks into Moses’ living room as some of his buddies are watching a game. Moses takes him to the basement as he knows what Driver wants. He also knows Driver told him to never offer anything than help. Driver reminds him this is help. Moses still unsure but takes out his set of weapons. Moses starts to display some guns but Driver only focuses on brass knuckles, some knifes, steel wires, and some grenades. Moses wonders why Driver needs all of that. Driver only replies with a question if his buddies upstairs are armed. Moses takes offense but Driver informs him he only asked cause there is gonna be a couple guys here to kill him. Moses doesn’t have time to respond as there’s a knock on the door upstairs.
One of Moses buddies answers the door to have someone rush in with a firearm as four others follow. They take control of the situation as Moses asks what he should do. Driver prepares himself and then tells him to cover his eyes and ears. Before Moses can react, Driver walks up to the door and throws a stun grenade in the room. It goes off leaving everyone in the room stunned. “Turn Down for What” plays somehow by the bang.
The group tries to regain themselves but Driver is quick to attack. He uses the assault rifle to bash one of them in the face. He then uses the brass knuckles to punch him down till blood flies by each hit. One the others think they have him but Driver throws a knife at him before he got to aim. The gun he’s holding goes off as we see Moses lead his buddies out of the house. Driver gets hit on the side of his head by someone as they go back and forth as Driver loses one of the knuckles. The guy uses his strength to throw him into the kitchen over the counter.
Driver stumbles to get up as the dude walks in like a predator stalking its prey. The guy grabs a kitchen knife tosses it with both hands. Driver uses a counter to get to his feet. The guy tries to stab one of Driver’s hands but misses. The guy grabs a different knife and swings it at Driver. Driver dodges most of them as he gets a cut on his collarbone. One of the other guys rushes in to grab Driver. The knife guy laughs as he goes for a kill shot but Driver jumps to land both feet into his chest. Driver then tries to get out of the hold but no use. Driver then goes to bite one of the guy’s hands. He bites down hard enough till blood gushes down. The guy lets go only for Driver to Spartan kick him throw the glass on the backdoor. The knife guy then goes to stab Driver in the shoulder. Driver groans in pain but grabs hold of the guy’s hand as he takes out the steel wire. He uses it to take control of his arms till he can wraps it around his neck, takes a knee for leverage, and pulls down. The guy swings around but with the camera staring at Driver, who is seen pulling down for life. It’s an intense scene as the guy’s body goes limp. The music stops as soon as his neck snaps.
Driver lets go to breathe a sigh of relief. Driver struggles to get up but he hears the other guy he kicked cock his gun. A gunshot rings but the other guy is seen with a bullet shot in the middle of his forehead. He falls down as Driver looks to see Moses standing behind him. Moses takes a hard look at Driver as he struggles to get up. Moses comments that he may have just seen the real Driver. Driver looks at him but doesn’t stay for long as the last guy tries to run.
The last guy rushes out but Moses’ friends stop him. The guy shrugs the off but Driver is behind him and starts an assault of punches. Moses walks out to stop Driver but sees the emotion he has and stops himself.
With one last sound of the punches, Milton grabs coffee for him and Herb, who is still shell-shocked. Milton asks if Herb is gonna finally tell him what happened. Herb is hesitant but then reveals how he used to be a detective turning into lieutenant till the week of the promotion he got a case. This case was about a robbery that wasn’t just some robbery. It turned out the place that was robbed was a mob front. This led too many getting killed except for one man. This man left a path of destruction where he went. They called him The Driver.
We see Driver still punching as Herb tells the story till the end. Driver gets off and watches the guy crawl. Driver screams for answers but the guy says nothing. Driver rushes up to him again to grab him but the guy’s head explodes by a gunshot. Driver looks up to see a car race away as tattooed hand can be seen going back in.
Herb narrates how The Driver “is the one man the mob wants to kill but is too afraid to try.” How the Driver is someone God & Satan wouldn’t help get killed? A phone can be heard from the dead guy. Driver goes to find a cell phone and opens up the call. “If The Driver is here, it’s like I said this is only the beginning… And no one is safe…”

A recap of the last few episodes plays.
The screen is black as we hear a cell phone ringing. A pick-up tone is heard as there’s a bit of a pause with Driver (Dan Stevens) breathing hard. We hear Driver say “Hello?” “So good to hear your voice…”
We are back to where we left off as Driver is standing on Moses’ front lawn looking like he just went through a deathmatch. He just stands there like a pissed of wildebeest. “I gotta say… You live up to your rep… Almost makes me wanna see what you would’ve done if I did more damage to your girl…” His grip on the phone tightens. “What do you want…?” Driver seems to be trying very hard to contain his anger. “I wanna see what you can do… Just like I wanna see how you’ll get out of prison…” We hear police sirens coming close now. “It doesn’t matter…” “Oh… Why’s that?” “Cause… One way or another… I’m gonna kill you…” There’s a pause of silence as the police cars drive down the street. “Good Luck with that…” The phone disconnects as police start screaming at him to turn around. He complies and gets arrested.
Night by Kavinsky ft. Lovefoxx plays as the title in hot pink "DRIVE" display over the city of Phoenix, AZ. Driver ride in the back of a police car as we see the nightlife like hookers, college kids, or ghettos. The driver doesn’t show any reaction as he is completely silent but focused.
Herb (Bruce Campbell) is hard at work trying to view the security tapes as he needs to get at least a part of the so-called “Driver’s” face. Milton (Benjamin Bratt) sees Herb hard at work as he offers some distraction. Herb isn’t up to it as he wants to find who the man is. Milton then says they may have someone as Peter Ridge (Peter Capaldi) has offered to give them a chance. Herb is set back by this as they were told to fuck off last time they tried. Milton seems to be cheery as they may have a chance granted Ridge has his lawyer. Herb wastes no time as they go to question him. We see Driver get brought to a different testimony as Herb and he don’t see each other.
Peter Ridge is sitting in his own room as his missing teeth are replaced with gold teeth. Herb and Milton question him about who the Driver is but Ridge starts telling them about a man who came to him to kill someone close to the Driver. They seem intrigued as Ridge then tells them to turn all cameras off. Milton doesn’t want to but Herb thinks it would be a better idea. They do and Ridge starts tell them about this figure that is named Mr. S. How this is a guy who has been taking out numerous people. He seems to not trust anyone and anyone who can id him ends up missing or never heard of again. Herb asks if they can offer protection can he give him to proper authorities. Ridge doesn’t waste time to agree and Herb likes this. Herb and Milton goes to make this deal to their boss.
Milton and Herb talk about this as Milton doesn’t seem to be behind this. Herb does because they know they won’t find the driver since everyone has been looking for him for five years. Milton thinks this will not go well but Herb asks what the worst that can happen is. A cop hears them and begins to make a call.
We see testimonies of Moses and his friends talk about what happened in Moses’ house. They give every description of the actions and what happened after. Driver sits in his seat not answering anything that they ask him. Driver then tells them if they got nothing on him since it was all self-defense, then they can let him go. But since Driver does have DNA linking him to him the murders, he has to be held for 24 hours. Then as one of the cops leaves, the other cop tells him that Mr. S is watching him and not to get comfort cause his night here will be his last safest night ever. Driver gets up to threaten him but it leads to cops to restrain him. His partner asks him what that was but his partner shrugs in response.
Herb and Milton continue to talk but they get brushed as Herb looks at the head of the pack. Herb stops but seems to sense something. Milton asks what’s up but Herb says nothing and moves on.
Ridge hears someone walk in and thinks it’s the cops but is surprised when he hears a familiar voice of Mr. S (Norman Reedus). Ridge tries to explain his reasons for being there but Mr. S says there’s no worries. Mr. S understands considering how Driver found him and did what he did to him. Ridge doesn’t understand why this is happening. Mr. S says this is just business with pleasure and how Ridge can’t give up any details to those cops cause then they would know about Driver in one of the other rooms. Ridge begs as he hasn’t said anything, but S isn’t fooled cause he knows he would if he got protection. Ridge is now hopeless as S snaps his fingers and two big men walk in. Ridge begs still b ut S tells him to pray. Ridge is confused but S points that a true Irish Catholic prays to God when things are hopeless. Ridge tries to ask what that means but the two men put a plastic bag over his head as Ridge struggles trying to keep as much air as he can but it’s pointless. Through Mr. S’s sunglasses, we see the battle of Ridge till he fades out to the point he goes out. Mr. S sighs as he thought the resourceful bastard would last longer. He exits as his men clear up the scene for any traces of their presence. Mr. S tells them to pay the cop who called them and walks away.
Herb and Milton talk to their boss, Seth Corbin (Dominic Cooper) as they need to reach a deal so they can get more info about Mr. S. Seth seems to be surprised by that news as he has heard of the legend of Mr. S. They ask who he is and Seth tells them that everything he’s gonna say can never leave the room. He checks everything and closes the door. He then tells them that Mr. S has been a hired gun who has become a modern day ghost story. He gets a job that interests him and then finds a way to get rid of them in a way where it wouldn’t connect him. It can be anything but one thing that connects them is one white roses always found at some part of the scene. Herb’s eyes shoot open as he remembers something like for a case he worked awhile ago. He runs out of the room leaving Milton to excuse them to Seth.
Herb hurries to the room Peter Ridge is at as Driver again is taken somewhere while avoiding him all together. They walk into the room Ridge is at and sees Ridge is unconscious. They test to see he is dead and rush to see if they have anyone in the station that could have done it.
Driver is now sitting at the containment room with some inmates for the night. One inmate looks at him and driver notices and looks away not interested. The guy sniffs and walks up to him and sits next to him and no one sits next to Driver since he’s been there. “Hey man what you in for?” The driver doesn't answer. The guy continues “Hey I think I know you man. Yea.” Driver shows no expression as the guy looks back at his buds and they laugh as they know its some kind of joke.
“You’re that guy who rode my uncle and my father one day. I think it was in San Diego?” Driver doesn't answer as he continues to stare at the floor. “I just wanted to know my papi got some serious time for that, gringo.” Driver doesn't look “Maybe he shouldn't have beaten your sister to death.” The guy gets upset “What did you just say?” The driver looks at him and repeats himself but in a more complicated edition. The guy tries to shank Driver but Driver catches the knife arm with one hand at the wrist and quickly like the blink of an eye, he snaps the guy’s wrist with a flick of Driver’s wrist and the guy drops the knife and screams holding his wrist. Driver takes hold over his mouth. The guy’s buddies go to help but Driver points at them warning them to stop where they are. They do as they saw what has done so far that is not to be messed with.
Driver leans in close so only the guy can hear him as he groans over his broken wrist under Driver’s hand “Now go back to your corner and shut up...” Driver leans in closer to let his fire in his eyes to be seen, “Or I’ll break your freaking teeth down your throat and do it for you.” Driver takes his hand off and goes back to how he was as the guy bites his lip and goes back to his corner and his buddies ask what the hell was that? A police officer goes up to the cage and opens it. “You’re free.” Driver looks up and sees the officer is looking at him. “Yea you monk. You’re free to go.” Driver gets up and grabs his coat and walks out quietly leaving the man with the broken wrist cussing in Spanish and Driver whispers in Spanish “Right back at ya.”
Driver walks out slow to this as (Revolution by The Score plays) the police scrambles to figure things out. He puts on sunglasses as he exits. He hears a ringing from his shoes as he puts out the cell phone from earlier out of his socks and answers it as Mr. S tells him to do to the Hollywood Diner. He walks the way as Herb rushes out trying to see if he sees the driver or Mr. S.
Driver walks into Hollywood Diner as he asks a waitress if a Mr. S is available and she leads him to a booth and takes his order. They have monologue about how the menu is limited like how 50 Shades of Grey is to story and she wakes away to take his order later. He hears a ring and someone walks into the other side of his booth. Driver’s face grows serious as the other guy is relaxed. Driver wants to says something but the waitress intervenes. “What do you guys want?” Cut to black…

Four years ago… Driver (Dan Stevens) sits in a diner where “Send the Pain On” by Chrome Sparks plays. He sits alone with his satin jacket on staring at his coffee. He seems to be deep in thought till a waitress walks up to him asking if he wants anything else. Driver tries to get her away but this waitress seems content to comfort him. He is off by this as she sees how lonely he is. She strikes a conversation with him since he’s new to the place. He lets her know he doesn’t get out much and he wanted to get out there. The waitress finds it funny since he chose a diner out of all his options. Driver warms up to her as he sees a light he seems almost blind to noticing anymore. He asks when her shift ends before she leaves and she tells him with a smile. A smile shows on his face which quickly disappears when he hears sirens.
Its early morning and the waitress are done with her shift. Driver is seen sleeping on the front of his car as the sunlight begins to beam on him. The waitress talks to her friends, Daisy (Chloe Bennett) and Rita (Aubrey Plaza), she’s okay after seeing him and walks up to him. She wonders if he has been waiting for her. He just mentions how he’s learned to wait on a woman. She smiles as she would like to know if he wants to start their date. He gets off the car and told he’s waited for her to ask. She looks at his car and loves it. He tests her to see if she knows what it is, which she does. Driver smiles at her and goes to open the passenger door for her. She asks for his name but he asks the same back. “Mia…” she says as she smiles brightly like the light that beams behind her like a Heavenly light. Driver looks almost buffaloed by her presence.
Shoot to five years later, Driver looks rugged and beaten as he has been through hell. He death stares/glares at the other guy on the opposite side of the both of the same diner. “So… I guess… You’re wondering why I invited…” S starts to say, but Driver interrupts knowing full well why this place. S isn’t surprised since Driver isn’t a sucker for headgames. He tries to explain again this wasn’t personal but Driver knows it was. Since he knows, he says “I know why you took the job, Samuel…” Mr. S (Norman Reedus) laughs as the camera pans from infront of Driver to see Mr. S or Samuel laughing. He smiles as he shows some silver and gold teeth. “Yeah… I figured you would… D… So why don’t we get to it, then…” Driver now stares at him like some old demon he hasn’t gotten rid of yet as enemy/enemy look at one another.
Night by Kavinsky ft. Lovefoxx plays as the title in hot pink "DRIVE" display over the city of Phoenix, AZ with the normal credits and shots of the city.
Herb(Bruce Campbell) and Milton (Benjamin Bratt) watch as Peter Ridge (Peter Capaldi)is taken in a bodybag. Seth Corbin (Dominic Cooper) is giving them a hostile lecture as they have let this get out of control. He tells them to get this solved or else. Herb seems to be pissed by this as someone must have let this happen, which means there are moles on the inside. Milton doesn’t believe it since he has faith in the system but Herb needs to be alone. Herb rushes out as Milton watches carefully.
Flashback to Driver and Mia (Jessica Pare)’s first date, where they talk over breakfast burritos. Driver seems to have recommended them to be the best in town and Mia lost a bet since she agrees. She asks what the toothpick he put from his mouth to his ear is for. It helps him focus basically which makes Mia more interested in him. Driver seems confused but she explains she saw him and thought of a more complex Rubik cube. Driver is more confused till she tells him she loves puzzles and when it’s about humans, they’re better.
Driver stares at Samuel as he eats a cheap pizza that he got from Daisy (Chloe Bennett) and Rita (Aubrey Plaza). S talks about how the cheap things always surprise including when they’re good. Driver gets more upset by S playing games. He asks how did he find him, which makes him offended. He reminds him he has always been able to find him since they were kids in the “good ole days” Driver doesn’t to think the same since he always had a worst time in those. Samuel reminds him how their “dad”, a term which Driver doesn’t like since he wasn’t. Samuel remembers it like it was paradise with the crime attached. But remembers how he learned about cars by having to hurt people to do so. Samuel seems to think opposite since Driver was the favorite till he beat their “dad” to death with a tire iron. Sam seems to rescint him for it. Driver though thinks of it the best moment of his life when he saw what he was being made into.
A slow cut of Driver walking up to a man who is struggling to breathe as some tall figure stands over him with brass knuckles on. Driver is a teen as he sees the man bleeding from the mouth with blood coating down his shirt. S is smiling as he seems to love the sight. Driver looks over to see a boy hiding frightened till the tall figure tells Driver to teach the boy a lesion as well. Driver doesn’t want to and he gets a heavy, hard smack to the face. S offers to do it but doesn’t since Driver needs to learn to listen. Driver gets up and gets handed a hammer. The wounded man begins to get up but is stopped by a brass knuckle punch. Driver slow motion walks up to the scared, little boy as Driver suddenly sees Standard (Oscar Isaac) and Benico from the scene of Drive. This makes Driver hesitate as some white noise plays till the tall figure screams at Driver. Driver snaps back as he’s his older version and Benico is gone and it’s the scared boy again. Driver looks at the boy and as his younger self he swings the hammer down.
Herb walks down an alley as he waits for someone till Moses (Morris Chestnut) comes out. Moses wonders what’s going on since Herb let him go. Herb has a feeling that the guy he interviewed from earlier about the murder of his wife and everything has happened is connected. Moses thinks he’s full of shit till he got a USB flash drive from Peter when he was about to walk away. He plays what’s an audio of Driver questioning then torturing him from earlier. Herb didn’t recognize the voice till he saw Driver was at the police station. Herb asks who he is since he’s the major piece of this puzzle. He just wants to help Driver since he has gotten tangled with someone who clearly wants to play. Moses tells him what he knows. One day, his buddy, Felix, told him a guy is coming into town to start over something about lying low. He was a friend who just needed some new IDs and some stuff to make a new life. One day, Moses got a job he couldn’t get out of. A couple of Mexican drug dealers needed a guy to help move product. Driver offered to help but what happened was Driver set the head dogs up as he saw the father was beating up his daughter. They got max sentences with no patrol by the evidence. Driver gave all the money he earned to Moses and Moses set his game up with rules set by Driver. No dealing to kids, no weapons to hostiles, and help him with any jobs he decided to take that would be low risk. They did this for years till one day something happened. Herb figures it out that it was Driver meeting his wife. Moses confirms this and Herb asks what her name was. “Mia… Her name was Mia…”
Mia and Driver have been dating for a year now as they enjoy a spot on a cliff as Driver seems to be the happiest he’s ever been. They joke till Driver finally laughs infront of her. Driver has to work tonight to which Mia asks what he does. Driver avoids the topic as he just wants to be with her and not the life or the world... She too wants to be with him as they cuddle in their spot looking at the town.
Driver uses that memory but it’s quickly erased as Samuel knows him being calm means he’s reminded of that “Mia whore” This makes Driver wanna launch up and jump over to choke him. But S’s goons are waiting as some are waiting to attack the other waitresses as well. Samuel notices how Driver’s anger still gets him into trouble. Just like LA to now, violence and darkness will always follow him and the fact he brought that to Mia, makes him a terrible person. Driver finds that funny considering how their father figure was beyond the border line of a terrible. S gets upset but thinks he has a better idea to get his point across. He’s gonna tell his men to kill his wife’s friends and then maybe he’ll get it. Driver asks what that would be but S thinks it be funnier if he didn’t explain. He gets up to leave and tells him the wasp always knows how to kill the scorpion.
As soon as S leaves, the goons goes to kill Daisy and Rita but Driver then goes full rampage as he splashes hot coffee on the guy who goes to stop him. He then grabs a steak knife and stabs the guy in the neck multiple times as blood shoots out and coats the window. Driver hears a cock and that makes him use the dead body to block shotgun blast. He then jumps over the booths to tackle the guy; they struggle by landing blows on each other till Driver removes a device to make it where the guy’s face blows up as he shoots his brains everywhere.
S walks to his car but he hears the noise and screams as S smiles big. He loves to know Driver deep and buried down is the same guy he knows.
Rita tries to defend Daisy but Rita gets stabbed for her efforts. Daisy screams which makes Driver turn on full psycho mode. Driver blasts through the kitchen doors as one guy tries to attack Driver with a knife till Driver puts him through a meat slicer as his nose to his eye balls gets sliced. The other guy uses Daisy as armor but Driver reminds what he taught them and she kicks the guy in the balls which helps him stun the guy to the point he puts his face into the deep fryer. The guy tries to swing around but through Driver’s groaning and Daisy’s screaming the sizzling is drown out by “Two against One” by Dangerous Mouse plays.
We see the wreckage as Driver throws the body down. Daisy is panicking as she sees the bloody bodies. Driver calms her down as he asks how she’s been since he hasn’t seen her since the wedding to her sister. They catch up till he tells her Mia about Mia and why he killed everyone is cause they did it. This makes Daisy calm down and then sees why Mia always said she’s his rock. Driver agrees as he looks at the bracelet Mia made him. It was for the time she saw him kill someone…

We see Mia (Jessica Paré) and Driver (Dan Stevens) with Mia’s friend and Daisy’s girlfriend, Rita (Aubrey Plaza), and Daisy (Chloe Bennett), Mia’s sister. They are enjoying their time with one another as Driver remains content through the whole evening. They run out of wine and Driver volunteers to get more. Rita and Daisy are unsure about him; he’s kinda distant to them while open with Mia. Mia just reassures them that he isn’t open with new people. Rita thinks he’s got a dark soul as she can read it on his face then excuses herself to the bathroom. Daisy and Mia talk to one another about what Mia sees in him. Mia doesn’t know how to describe it like he makes her feel safe. He looks at her like the only person in the world. Daisy isn’t surprised since it looks like he doesn’t like people on how he rarely talked to her or Rita. Mia rolls her eyes as she knows Daisy is being protective but she doesn’t need to worry since Driver wouldn’t hurt a fly. Driver walks in with the wine as he grabbed a red one since Daisy said it’s her favorite. Daisy is setback as Mia smiles by how Driver listens more than talking.
The aftermath of the diner incident is shown as the bodies, blood, and carnage is about. “Dangerous” by Fred Eaglesmith plays as the camera pans around till we get to the kitchen where Driver and Daisy are quiet. Daisy is still shocked by seeing this side of him. He tells her that they have to get out of here. Daisy asks how it is easy for him to kill those people. Driver is now setback by this as he never had to explain that part of himself, since he rarely shows it. He’s had a past that he always ignored but it wasn’t till now it’s come back. Daisy then asks did Mia know but they’re interrupted as a cop car appears. Driver tells her that has to go but Daisy can’t leave Rita. Driver tells her to meet up later and he’ll explain more. Daisy is still shocked but tries to regain herself. He apologizes about Rita and how he always liked them.
Driver and Mia are walking out of Rita’s and Daisy’s apartment as Mia wants to know what he thinks of them. Driver likes them which are hard to see considered how he rarely said anything to them. Driver didn’t need to or want to because they were… “Adorable?” Mia finished his thought and smiles. Driver smirks as he loves how she can read him better than he can her. Mia always loves a strong silent type anyway. They kiss and get into the car. They drive away but a car can be seen following them.
Herb (Bruce Campbell) is seen walking into the station as he sees everyone is riled up as a diner has been reported for a mass murder. Milton (Benjamin Bratt) informs Herb that the guy they’re looking for appeared at the scene. Herb is confused by this as Milton asks if he wants to join but Herb says he needs to stay back to follow up on something. Milton is okay with that as he heads to the scene. Herb stares at Milton.
Driver is waiting for Daisy at her home to which she isn’t surprised by this after what she saw him do. Daisy begins to the questions of who he is and why was it easy for him to do what he did. Driver explains about how he never had a normal life and how the only father figure he had made him a monster. He did things that only someone can only live with to continue living. Daisy asks why did those people want to kill him. Driver is hesitant but he realizes she won’t let go since they killed Mia. Driver doesn’t wanna say till Daisy blows up on him on how she deserves to know since Mia loved him and always defended him. “He’s my brother…” Driver says and Daisy is confused. Mr. S (Norman Reedus) or Samuel, the guy he was talking to, is his orphan brother.
Herb breaks into Milton’s desk and goes through his things as he finds some stacks of cash and a burner phone hidden. Herb calls the last number and someone answers as they mention it better be better than the time they almost got caught at the police station. Herb not answering signals it’s not Milton and Herb hangs up quickly.

Driver tells a brief story about how he got into a series of events of LA but that isn’t why. “Then why?... What reason would he have to collect on the hit against you?” Driver then mentions he killed their father figure. He killed him in front of Samuel. We see a teenager bashing someone violently with a hammer. He then stands in front of the man while holding the bloody hammer. Samuel walks into see Driver’s eyes like such darkness.
Herb does some work as he can see Milton and some other cops being the first to responded to all of Driver’s incidents but looks at the security tapes of the club to find that the times they reported in don’t match what’s on the tapes.
Driver is silent as he is deep into thought of his past. Daisy asks what he did next. Driver talks about how he had to do what he had to to survive. Daisy is silent too but Driver explains he doesn’t want to be an awful person but the world has already formed and molded him into something that will always be there for the world is dark and gritty. Daisy doesn’t believe that but Driver mentions how Mia thought the same and tried to change him till it got her killed too. Daisy catches him by that as he discovers she knew what he was. Driver makes a face as if he has just been caught in the act.
Driver and Mia get home as they talk about how Driver has to go to work again tomorrow. Mia wants to spend the day with him tho. Driver insists he has to work which makes Mia ask what’s so important but gets interrupted by a group of men who break into the house. Driver attacks the men by having one of them shoot their own foot, breaking a flower veil and using the shard of glass to repeatingly stab a guy in the neck, and then fights hand to hand combat with three men at once. Driver ends it with his foot stomping on a guy’s head. The guy who got shot in the foot tries tot crawl away but Driver catches up to him. Driver asks who sent them and the guy tells him he can’t run away from LA. How everyone will find him and kill him along with Mia. This makes Driver angry as he asks why he had to threaten Mia. Driver then takes his fingers and sinks them into the guy’s eyes till a crack can be heard. Driver breathes deep as a flash image of him standing with the bloody hammer over his father figure. The blood dripping slowly from the hammer. “Derek?” Driver can hear young Samuel staring at him with deep fear as he can with Mia who is frightened by him. She saw the whole thing as Driver’s angry fades. He begins to break down as if he doesn’t like that side of him. Mia slowly walks up to him as she comforts him in her arms. She tells him it’s okay as Driver sees Mia’s bracelet.
Driver stares at the bracelet as Daisy now looks at Driver like she understands him for the first time. She then asks if Mia accepted him but Driver corrects her that Mia actually made him a better man. Daisy then asks that those people who killed Mia and Rita are all controlled by Mr. S or Samuel. Driver nods. “Then what are you gonna do?” Driver looks up as he sees Mia tell him it’s alright. He doesn’t believe she can love him now but he saved her and that makes her love him even more. She gives him her bracelet and tells him it’s a symbol of how he doesn’t need to be alone anymore and how he can be better. They kiss as she sees and loves him for him. Driver looks up at Daisy and tells her, “I’m gonna burn this fucking city down if it means I get to see Samuel burn with it…”

Rita makes a crack how she guesses their caution to him made her finally dig through his luggage. Mia doesn't find it funny as she feels more connected to him now. Daisy doesn't buy it as guys like Driver who don't say much about themselves always have a lot to hide. Mia though doesn't think so. Some people can like heroes but have darkness inside of them. But people who have darkness inside hide it for a reason that's not selfish, those are people who deserve redemption. When they look at Drive they see someone not worth their time but she looks at him she sees a light that's covered in darkness only because it never fades or hides. It'll always find a way to appear. But Driver, he hides for others but knows it'll never go away. She loves him for how he wants to be a good person. Rita says whatever as Daisy can see though that Mia got to see something others don't. See a person for who they really are and she accepts it.
Daisy sees why Mia loved him, she believed hes a good person even though he's damaged. Even though she scared of him, she knows it's more than him losing the one he loved but his light was snuffed out and the darkness is all that remains.

Mia doesn’t know how to describe it like he makes her feel safe. He looks at her like the only person in the world. Daisy isn’t surprised since it looks like he doesn’t like people on how he rarely talked to her or Rita.

A recap of the last few episodes
An empty street is silent. With not very many people around or any action, we start to hear a car engine roaring. We start to see two cars in a car chase racing down the road. Various shots of the chase are shown like underneath behind the car, from the side of the hood, and a front overhead till we close up to see The Driver (Dan Stevens) is laser focused behind the wheel. The Driver tries to wait for a last second turn to throw off who’s following. Daisy (Chloe Bennett) is sitting in the passenger seat almost scared by what’s going on. Driver drives through some upcoming traffic with ease as the roar of the car is heard. Driver looks to see he’s still being followed. He tells Daisy to hold on and he pulls the emergency break to swerve into an alley under the bridge. Herb (Bruce Campbell) is still following but by a distance.
Driver looks at the rearview mirror and can see the passenger seat of the other guy have someone aim a gun at them. Driver waits till the last minute to turn into an empty alley. The other car stops and goes to back-up but Herb runs right into them. Driver races down as he looks to see Herb get out of his car. Daisy asks if it’s safe now and then loses her mind about what the hell is happening. Driver is silent to the point Daisy starts freaking out about the body in the backseat. Driver calms her down by stopping the car. He grabs a hold of her and tells her how he needs her to do exactly what he tells her to do. If she doesn’t, then tonight will be her last. Daisy understands and asks what they do now. Driver goes back to driving and stares onto the road intenseness.

Mr. S isn’t worried as the thrill of a hunt is the chase and they know how to bait the prey out. He believes by the end of the night everything will be accomplished. Mr. S is also informed about how Herb has become more involved than planned. Mr. S stops with his train of thought and then makes a face of hidden anger. He walks up to the painting of him as a kid and stares at the blood stained hammer in the glass case. He tells them to finish the job or else he’ll have to get more hands on, which will involve everyone in the hit. Ammo doesn’t like the threat as does Shadow with some blade but Long Shot plays mediator and promises to take care of everything as long as the deal is open. They leave as S stares at them with a blank stare. S turns around and goes back to looking at the hammer.
Driver drives to a safe house to lay low. He makes it look like everything is normal till Daisy demands to know what’s going on. Driver tries to lie but Daisy doesn’t buy since she just saw him kill someone for the second time in her life. Driver levels with her by telling her Mr. S has put out a bounty on him and since she saw his face and survived that diner incident. She doesn’t understand why she’d be important but finds out she’s a loose end. S doesn’t like being able to be comprised and also he must know she’s Mia’s sister.
Driver brings out a bag to a table and starts putting out weapons like guns, knives, and/or stuff like pepper spray, brass knuckles, and etc. Daisy asks what all this is for and Driver tells her not to worry about it but she can’t help herself since she’s worried about him. Driver doesn’t understand now but is explained how she is noticing his change of attitude. He’s growing darker and cold. Driver shrugs her off that she’s a silly girl. Daisy is offended and insults him by what Mia would think if she saw him like this. Driver snaps by that on how she isn’t around anymore and it’s thanks S, who wants to burn around everything around him. He wants to kill S and will not stop till he gets it. Driver suddenly gets a call from his phone as it’s Moses (Morris Chestnut) who tells him to get to his house quickly. Driver thought he didn’t want anything to do with him but Moses says it’s urgent and to go to the normal meeting spot. Driver goes to leave and tells Daisy to not move or let anyone in.
Herb is at his house as he looks intense. He breathes in and out as he grabs a bag from under the sink. He goes to the basement. He fills a bucket of water, grabs some towels and walks into a dark room. Herb turns on the lights to see the passenger from the car from earlier is tied to a chair with a hanger wire. The guy has blood running down his face and some worse for wear. Herb rolls up his sleeves and takes off his watch and his ring, which he looks at with regret. He turns around and breathes one more deep breath. He slaps the guy so hard he snaps back to reality. Herb starts by saying he wants every question answered and anything else, he’ll lose his patience which at this moment who be very unwise. He asks if the guy understands. He nods his head and Herb takes off the gag. The guy tries to scream but Herb quickly grabs a towel and pours some water over his face. Herb takes it off and warns him again that was just to show how serious he is. He wants to know why there is a hit on him.
Driver shows up to Moses. Driver knocks on the door and Moses lets him in. Driver wants to know what’s going on but Ammo is quick to knock Driver down. Driver tries to stab him but is countered by Tozawa with a fury of kicks. Driver goes for his 9mm but a blade snaps it out of his hand as Shadow appears from the dark part of the room. Ammo is quick to throw him to a wall and Driver groans through the pain. Driver grabs a pair of brass knuckles and begins some decent punches to the head to the body on ammo with a hard knee into Ammo’s nose. But is quickly on guard as Tozawa goes to use some karate to slow Driver down. Tozawa knocks the knuckles of his hand and goes for some nerve punches but Driver lands a kick down low. Shadow goes to attack with her blades. Driver counters with some strikes but everytime he does Shadow gains a cut on him. Driver staggers after a cut to the outside of his right thigh. Shadow goes for the kill but flips her over into Tozawa. Driver rolls over to where his gun is and goes to shoot them but Ammo grabs the gun overpowering him. Driver then headbutts Ammo, land some hard elbow strikes but Ammo holds on. Driver then sees Tozawa and Shadow getting up and quickly puts the gun near Ammo’s ear and pulls the trigger. The gunshot stuns Ammo and Driver Spartan kicks him into Tozawa and Shadow. Driver sets the gun but a bullet knocks the gun out of hand.
Long Shot appears with Moses. Long Shot has had enough as much as he loved watching a master work. Driver asks who they are and Long Shot snickers as Driver show know already. They’re the “Hunting Party”, a group of people Mr. S has hired for whoever kills him gets the prize. Driver figures out that they must have been the ones who were chasing him. Long Shot laughs as he would embarrass if they were. They were another group for the prize as they went for the easy bait. They preferred the more personal bait. Moses mutters for them to go fuck themselves. Long Shot laughs as it took awhile to find out how to get him out of hiding. Driver is surprised by this as Moses turns out to be an informant for S as he could get back with his kids if he helped him. Driver now looks somber as he didn’t know Moses has a family. Moses reminds him that they agreed to not be personal, but this gets interrupted by how Long Shot needs to know where the girl. Driver refuses till LS tells him he’ll shoot Moses and kill his family if he doesn’t. Driver ponders as he doesn’t want Moses to die but he can’t tell them where Daisy is. Moses then tells him to not choose by how he knows either way someone is gonna die. He then tells Driver to look after his family and how he thought he saw what Driver was before but now sees how Driver is considering how to save him, a monster wouldn’t do that. Driver tells Moses to not talk like this is the end but Moses tells him it already is. “Don’t waste your chance to feel like a person for once. Not like me…” A pin drops to the floor as Long Shot’s eyes open wide. In slow motion, Driver dives over the kitchen counter as Long Shot lets go of Moses and runs with the Hunting Party out of the house. Driver sees the gas stove is running, runs through the backdoor, and goes to jump into the pool. Moses closes his eyes as he reveals a pulled hand grenade. Moses pulls out a photo of two young girls and a woman in her thirties. Moses closes his eyes as a tear drops down. He releases his hold and the whole house blows up.
A shot underwater is seen with Driver sinking into water as flames from the house shoot overhead. “Family is all anyone has… If you don’t have a reason like it, you’re not human but an animal…” Young Driver watches as his father figure, Andie Quinn (Kevin Bacon), gives a lesson to which he smiles almost sinisterly as a group of people kneeled down infront of them scared. “Now what would you do for your family…” Driver looks down to see Andie handed him a hammer.

Herb takes it off and warns him again that was just to show how serious he is. He wants to know why there is a hit on him and what Mr. S (Norman Reedus) truly wants.
Overhead view we see the burning house of Moses (Morris Chestnut) as the neighborhood is in panic. We see the “Hunting Party” get up which Ammo (John Cena) wants to check to see if Driver is alive but Long Shot (David Boreanaz) thinks they need to get out of here before authorities arrive and they have a new problem. They get into their car and drive away quickly. The camera pans to the pool in the backyard of the house. We go into the water to see Driver (Dan Stevens) floating underwater unconscious. “So what are you looking for man?...”
We see Driver’s and Moses’ first meeting together. Moses’ talks about how he never had someone come up to him for getaway jobs. Driver doesn’t speak to which makes Moses makes some jokes about him being a mute. “You know the dark and silent type doesn’t always rub people the right way.” “Works on some people…” Driver replies. “Just saying sometimes a hammer doesn’t always fix everything…” Driver smiles by how he likes Moses’ direct approach. Moses does it because it’s the only way to get things done in this town. Driver notices a photo of a woman and two kids. Moses quickly puts it away as Driver looks at his reaction. Driver accidently asks if he has a family to which Moses asks if he’s ever done something so horrible it ruins everything good around you. Driver is silent to that answer as it hits are. Moses makes a condition to not talk about personal stuff unless it’s needed. Driver nods as Moses goes to show him the car Driver will be driving for the job. Moses asks questions about previous experience with this kind of work to which Driver reminds him they agreed to not say anything to personal. Moses looks at Driver and agrees.
Driver wakes up in the water and swims up. He gasps as he struggles to get out of the pool. He breathes hard as he has no idea how long he’s been out. He sits up on the edge as he looks at the burning house and grows dull. He remembers a moment where he gets done with a job and sees Moses selling guns. Driver and he get into a fight as Driver knows one of the guns on the job was pulled on a kid. Moses agrees at that moment to sell to those he trusts. Driver hears the sirens of the cop cars and gets up to jump the fence to run away.
Mr. S is listening to Willy Nelson as he enjoys an expensive T-bone steak with a dark almost blood-colored wine. He starts talking like someone is eating with him. The camera widens and we see there is no one there but the hammer in the glass casing in front of him. He talks about how he’s close to getting Driver back into the fold. He’s close to making him realize what he’s tried to forget. “That family is everything… Without we’re just animals…” He’s interrupted by a phone call to which he is addressed about how Moses had blown up the house. Mr. S asks if Driver is okay but gets told the Hunting Party is okay and they think they know where the girl is. Mr. S is getting a little frustrated as he wants to know if Driver is okay. The police haven’t found a body yet so this makes Mr. S know Driver is still alive. He hangs up interrupting the other end’s thought and tells the hammer he has to leave to go do something real quick but will be back.
Herb is wiping his hands off as they are coated with blood and scrapes. The guy in the chair is pretty beaten up as blood drip out of his mouth. Herb congratulates him on last as long as he did. Herb hasn’t had to do that for awhile. Herb gets ready to go out but the guy manages to tell him he’s gonna die anyway. No matter what Mr. S will kill him just for getting in the way including if he lets him live. Herb is confused as he guesses his captive doesn’t pay attention to what’s around him. The guy sees plastic all over the ground to which he looks up to see Herb shoot him between the eyes. “Dumb motherfucker… Thinks I’d make a mess in my mother’s house…” Herb’s ma asks what’s that noise to which Herb reminds her he’s still trying to get rid of the rodents down there so she may have to keep her hearing aid down still. His ma remembers and asks if he’d like a sandwich at all. Herb says that would be great after he’s done cleaning up.
Daisy (Chloe Bennett) is at the safe house as she is watching a video on her phone of Mia’s birthday. She sees her and Rita (Aubrey Plaza) enjoy their time till Driver walks in with a cake. She notices how Driver looks happier than she’s ever seen him and how Mia somehow is the only reason he’s ever happy in photos or other stuff. She wishes she still was here so she knows what to do about him. A knock on the door and Daisy goes to answer thinking its Driver but to her surprise it’s a couple of goons. She wrestles with them to the point one looks to rough her up but a knife goes through his neck after he drops to the floor we see Mr. S standing proud with The Hunting Party. The goons go to fight but the Hunting Party makes quick work with Shadow (Eliza Dushku) using her skills to cut nerves, Ammo bashing a dude’s head in, Tozawa (Lee Byung-hun) using a throat punch to land a skull cracking knee to Long Shot shooting one’s kneecaps off. Mr. S apologizes for her to see all that but the kneecapped goon interrupts him. This makes Mr. S split-second slice his neck for it’s rude to interrupt when someone is talking. Mr. S smiles politely and asks to talk to her. We hear the sounds of the guy gurgling on his own blood in the background.
Herb is cleaning up as he has tightly wrapped up the guy in plastic. He hears a buzz from the phone he took earlier and opens it to see a group text of where to meet at the safe house. Herb knows this is his one chance at Mr. S as he quickly goes to take care of the body. Herb sneaks around his ma and puts the body in the trunk of his car. His ma is seen up to the car suddenly as she tells him to don’t forget about his sandwich she made him. Herb closes the trunk door, grabs the sandwich and kisses her as he tells her he just got called into work. She makes a comment that he needs to take it easy that work has been running him ragged. Herb makes a comment to himself about how that true but he just might get some days off if things go right tonight and drives off.
Mr. S and Daisy have a conversation as Mr. S apologizes how he almost got her killed at the diner. He didn’t know who she was and if he did, he would have made sure her and Rita would have been spared. Any friend of Derek’s is a friend to him. Daisy is silent while mean mugging him. Ammo asks what they do with the bodies to which S, with venom in his voice, makes a comment about feed them to strays for he doesn’t care. He notes her silence has to do with something he did. Daisy tells him he killed her sister. S makes a face and understands Daisy’s reaction then. He knows what it’s like to have someone you care about to have them ripped away. She laughs as she tells him how she knows the person he’s talking about was crazy. S is confused till he guesses Driver, or Derek he calls him, told her about their upbringing. Daisy talks about how they were made into killers to which S doesn’t think so. They were taught to survive. She thinks they made Driver a monster but S believes he was actually free to be what he’s always meant to be.
Driver sneaks up on the safehouse and goes to sneak inside to gain a clear advantage. He finds a gun and goes to sneak up on S. S talks about how they were alone and Andie helped them reach their full potential. Driver got to become the man every mob fears and he got to become the well resourced person he is. Driver grows angry by his words and points the gun up to his head. S blames Mia for trying to satirized what Driver is, making him believe he can leave his past behind. When in reality, he will never be like the sheep, he thinks like a wolf too much. “Don’t you agree, Derek?” S knows Driver is behind him with a gun as Driver tells Daisy to run and he’s gonna kill S. S doesn’t believe him to which Driver finds out the gun is empty and S pours bullets out of his hand. S makes a comment how love has made him safe.
Driver goes to hit him but Long Shot shoots him in the leg. Ammo charges at him and bearhugs him up to let Tozawa rain heavy lightening quick hits. Driver is held up as S is disappointed. He was able to handle them earlier but now that there’s another life in the room. Driver tells him he’ll rip his face off if something happens to her. S grows upset as he tries to prove his point that love and caring is what makes him weak. Only rage is how he has gotten this far. So he gonna prove it which Driver thinks he’ll hurt Daisy but actually S is gonna have Shadow do it. Shadow brings a blade to her throat. Driver tries to break free but no luck. Just before a cut could be made, the lights go out and gunshots are heard. Herb goes in and takes out Tozawa and Long Shot. Driver goes to bite Ammo’s index finger off and headbutts him to break free. Through the flashes of gun fire we see Herb and Driver fight off them but S takes Daisy with Long Shot and the rest as when the emergency lights come on we see Herb and Driver staring at each other with Herb pointing at gun at him and Driver ready to take him down.

He leaves Moses's family with a lot of money. Herb finishes the paperwork for the whole event but then looks at a photo of him and Shannon. He begins to fix it where it doesn't mention Driver. Flashes of Mia fill the screen to the point we see the conversation of if he thinks he's a monster. He answers her "Yes..." Mia looks at him with love as she doesn't think so. She believes in the opposite, she loves him and knows he'd protect her. The driver asks her to marry him and she quickly agrees.
Driver answers if Mia knew, she did and still loved him for him even though it caused her death, he knows she'd do it over again if it meant saving him. Teardrops land on his blood-soaked satin jacket as he cries not tears of sadness but a tear of joy to feel free. He finishes by thanking her for seeing him differently and with how he needs to stop running from himself. He's not a monster or hero, but a human being looking for a purpose which why he's going back home. The camera stops following as the car drives down the dark road and into the night as the song begins to end.
